The Fairly OddParents began as a series of short skits during the late 1990s. Kids were only able to watch the shorts during commercial breaks or between episodes. The Fairly OddParents is a series that many younger viewers could find relatable. The theme song explained the premise of the show: Timmy Turner is a 10-year-old kid who is commanded around by his parents. When his parents leave, which is often, they request the services of Vicky the babysitter. She pretends to be kind to the grown-ups but is every kids’ worst nightmare.
Feeling sorry for the poor kid, he is issued two fairy godparents: Cosmo and Wanda. Cosmo is a silly green-haired wand-wielder while his wife, Wanda, is much more stern. Timmy now can make wishes come true. In typical kid fashion, he wishes for things to make his life easier instead of helping the world.
Many fans have grown up with the series. They’ve watched the series change from short skits, a cartoon series, and live-action adaptation. Faithful viewers have remained loyal to the series, from the always evolving “Da Rules” and the introduction of Chloe Carmichael.
Fan artists have their interpretation of the decade-long series. They’ve created comics that many fans may have found themselves picturing in their minds. If you’ve kept up with the series over the past decade, you might find yourself relating to the scenarios these artists have illustrated.
20 Green And Pink Make What?
Wanda and Cosmo are the happily married fairy godparents who work with Timmy Turner. Though they’re dedicated to their job, they still have personal interests. As a couple, they have always wanted a child. Timmy has come to love his godparents over the years and wanted them to be happy. He wished for them to have a baby. In the episode “Fairly Odd Baby,” Cosmo and Wanda’s dreams came true. Poof Fairywinkle-Cosma came to life.
Poof only has the ability say his name and nothing else. He has a unique personality that makes him stand out from his parents. Another physical trait that makes Poof different is that he is purple. In this comic, Cookie-Lovey shows Poof’s color confusion. Wanda has pink hair, while Cosmo wears green. Poof is confused on how pink and green make purple. Some fans may have even wondered how it was possible.
In the show, we saw that Cosmo was the fairy who was pregnant with Poof. However, Poof may be wondering if it was possible that Wanda may not be his birth mother. Though Poof may be a different color, Wanda and Cosmo are his parents. Their wish came true when Poof was born.
19 Luckily, This Isn’t A Legal Ceremony
Vicky is Timmy’s cruel, spiteful babysitter. His parents don’t believe that Vicky mistreats him. Timmy is only 10-years-old, so he didn’t think of wishing for recording equipment as proof of her behavior. Vicky didn’t come from a terrible family. Her little sister, Tootie, didn’t dislike Timmy at all. In fact, Tootie had a severe crush on the young Turner.
Tootie cared about Timmy during their childhood, but Timmy didn’t return her feelings. She became a character that would often help him on his adventures and stand up for him when his classmates were teasing him.
Timmy was too young to understand Tootie’s affections, and she often went overboard.
In this comic by the artist Mr. Crocker, the character he is named after is pretending to be a minister. Tootie has somehow captured Timmy with rope and chained an old-school prison weight to his leg so he can’t run away. Tootie has claimed Timmy as his bride and forcing him into a wedding ceremony. Timmy isn’t happy to be forced into this situation.
The fan-created comic is appropriately titled “Timmy’s Nightmare.” Luckily, Tootie and Timmy are both too young to be legally married.
18 An Annoying Childhood Promise
Fan artists often come up with crazy situations that the original creators of the shows haven’t considered. The Fairly OddParents fandom has mashed characters from the show and the other series together. Some combine characters from other Nickelodeon shows that aired during the same time frame. This artist has mashed together the cartoon and a popular video game.
Neoslashott from Deviantart has combined The Fairly OddParents and Final Fantasy VII. This scene is reminiscent of Cloud Strife remembering his day as a young soldier. He wasn’t an elite fighter like his friend Zack, but a lower ranking fighter. He returned to his hometown and reunited with his childhood friend, Tifa Lockheart. She made him promise always to protect her.
This fan comic twists around the childhood promise. Chester McBadbat is playing the part of Cloud, while Trixie Tang is Tifa. He has come to rescue her from harm. She knew he wouldn’t let anything happen to her. They’re thankful to see each other, but Trixie is more concerned with something else. Chester just risked his life to save her, and she wants him to tell her she’s pretty. He doesn’t seem pleased that she’s acting ungrateful.
17 Timmy Tara Turner
Timmy Turner may be a 10-year-old boy, but his voice actor isn’t. His voice is portrayed by Tara Strong, who has worked in the voice acting industry for years. She’s played characters such as Harley Quinn from the Batman series, Raven from Teen Titans GO!, and Bubbles of the original Powerpuff Girls. Tara is also known to video game fans as Rikku from Final Fantasy X and X-2, Paz Ortega Andrade from the Metal Gear Series, and Juliet Starling, the protagonist of Lollipop Chainsaw.
Tara has been the voice actress for Timmy since the show was produced into a cartoon series on Nickelodeon. In this comic by Toongrowner, Tara has become Timmy. She wears the same clothing as he does, from his pink cap and shirt to his denim jeans.
Wanda and Cosmo haven’t yet noticed the change. They suspect something has changed about their godchild, Timmy. Wanda thinks he looks different but doesn’t go into detail. Cosmo is easily fooled. He doesn’t see any significant changes because Tara is wearing the same clothing as Timmy. We’re sure Wanda and Cosmo will figure it out eventually.
16 Did He Like Blondes All Along?
Trixie Tang is the most popular girl at Dimmsdale Elementary School. She often has her classmates fawn over her, including young Timmy Turner. By Trixie’s side is her faithful best friend, Veronica. She’s considered Trixie’s less attractive and less popular friend. Though she remains faithful to her best friend, Veronica is always trying to be as great as Trixie.
Trixie doesn’t care much about the people who obsess over her. Veronica has noticed one of her admirers in particular. She has a secret obsession over Timmy, even though when they’re in public together, she pretends that she can’t stand him.
Timmy hasn’t picked up on Veronica’s hints that she adores him until now.
Redeyereaper has made Veronica’s dreams come true. Her crush, Tommy, has finally noticed her. He caught on to all of her hints, and they’ve decided to be together. Veronica has stolen away someone who used to be interested in her best friend. In the background is Trixie. She’s furious because she’s not getting the attention she thinks she deserves. Tootie, who has made her love of Timmy obvious from day one, is upset she’s not in Veronica’s boots right now.
15 From OddParents To Just Parents
Timmy Turner is a young boy tormented by his babysitter. His parents often go out and don’t pay much attention to his needs. Cosmo and Wanda step in to help Timmy cope with his life. Timmy’s wishes often lead him into more trouble than he would have been in before. Timmy begins to get close to his fairy godparents and learns that the couple has always wanted a baby. Timmy decides to make this happen by wishing they would have a baby of their own. If he never made that wish, Cosmo and Wanda would have kept protecting him without a second thought.
This comic by Cirilee proves how overprotective Cosmo and Wanda have become over their godson. Timmy often finds himself in danger over the series, either by a side effect of a wish or other gods meddling in their affairs. Cosmo is afraid for Timmy’s safety. Wanda is prepared to save Timmy. With a wave of her wand, she magically makes all of the danger disappear.
Timmy is so grateful, that he thanks his fairy godparents and calls them “Mom and Dad.” They saved him while his parents had no clue he was in danger. Cosmo and Wanda are so happy that their dreams of becoming parents have finally come true.
14 Why Did Timmy Have To Make Things So Complicated
Tootie has had a crush on Timmy for years. He thinks she’s annoying and tries to ignore her. It doesn’t help her older sister is his evil babysitter, Vicky. Tootie tries to get his attention by helping him at school or on his wild adventures. Timmy has made it clear that he only has eyes for Trixie. On the other hand, Trixie barely knows that Timmy exists. By the time she noticed Timmy, she quickly moves on her more popular friends.
Girlperson2235 on DeviantArt has created a comic based off of the Avril Lavigne song “Complicated.” The lyrics are told from Tootie’s perspective. She wants Timmy to know that Trixie may be the most popular girl in school, but she’s not the best. Trixie has many negative qualities that people choose to ignore. She has often rejected Timmy’s attempted to be nice to her unless they’re in a private setting. In the last panel, Tootie wants Timmy to know that she can treat him better. He just had to pay attention to her first. She can be the girlfriend Timmy has always wanted. If Timmy would stop being so “Complicated,” he may realize that Trixie’s not that great.
13 Cosmo’s The Only One Who Is Fooled
Denzel Crocker is often portrayed as an evil school teacher. He’s someone that Timmy’s babysitter, Vicky, would consider her hero. Crocker believes that fairies exist and is obsessed with catching one. Throughout the series, he devises several plans to grab one. His plans haven’t worked out, but Cosmo and Wanda have had several close calls. Crocker isn’t wrong. Fairies do exist, and he had one as a child.
Agent Di has brought Crocker’s fairy obsession into the schoolhouse. Crocker has disguised himself as a fairy in hopes that he’ll catch one. His disguise is of Wanda, who is currently one of Timmy’s godparents. Everyone in the classroom is horrified at the sight. Crocker’s disguise scares them. Tootie screams in horror while Timmy doesn’t believe he’ll ever get this sight out of his head. Mr. Crocker is happy that he has the opportunity to scar his young students for life. He is desperate to capture a fairy.
The only person in the room who is fooled by Crocker’s disguise is, of course, Cosmo.
He can’t believe how much Wanda has changed. She’s standing right behind him, angry that her husband can be tricked so easily.
12 A Win-Win For Science
Vicky has tormented Timmy Turner for years. Her behavior is so bad that she’s one of the leading reasons why he was granted fairy godparents. Cosmo and Wanda have often worked hard to protect him from her. Since Timmy’s parents go away on vacation without him, he is forced to spend many long hours with her. When his parents return, she blames any messes or mistakes on the young boy. They always believe Vicky over their son.
The only creature to adore Vicky is an alien named Mark Chang. She thinks he’s just a weird exchange student and hasn’t caught on that he’s an alien. Mark often tries to get Vicky to notice him.
In this comic by Jbwarner86, both Mark and Timmy get what they want. Mark finally has Vicky all to himself. Timmy no longer has to suffer from Vicky’s cruel babysitting methods. Wanda is the only one who seems genuinely concerned. She doesn’t know if Vicky will survive in the tube. Cosmo doesn’t understand humans at all. He tries to assure her that humans and jellyfish are similar. Vicky, who is trapped in the tube, just wants to make it out of the Science Fair alive.
11 A Lesson To Be Kind To Those Around You
While Timmy is chasing after Trixie, he has an admirer of his own. Tootie is an intelligent young girl who has had feelings for Timmy since the day they met. Timmy does his best to avoid her. For starters, she is the younger sister of his babysitter, Vicky. He knows how cruel Vicky can be and doesn’t want to get involved with her little sister. Tootie also follows him around like a puppy, which annoys the 10-year-old boy.
Grouchom shows how often things can change during childhood. Timmy is annoyed by Tootie’s love struck ways. She won’t stop following him around with hearts floating around her head. Timmy yells at her that he isn’t interested. Tootie doesn’t care. She ignores his request to be left alone.
Five years later, Timmy is now the one following Tootie around. He is now fifteen, while she is a fourteen-year-old teenager. Her appearance has drastically changed. Instead of thinking that she’s the clueless one who can’t take a hint, he’s mentally kicking himself for being so mean to her years ago. The comic shows that one should be careful about being cruel to others. They could end up growing to be a much better person than you’d expect.
10 The Eternal Cartoon Character Struggle
Timmy Turner was born in 1987. When he makes his initial debut, he is only ten-years-old. As the series continues, he remains only ten. Most characters in cartoons don’t age quickly. They may remain young just in case the series runs for decades, like The Fairly OddParents. This comic by samanthaahrivera makes fun of the situation.
The series has lasted for over sixteen years, but Timmy hasn’t had the opportunity to enjoy a birthday.
Along with his classmates, they are stuck as elementary school students at Dimmsdale Elementary School. The only time we do see Timmy as a grown-up is during the live action series. Starting in A Fairly Odd Movie: Grow Up, Timmy Turner!, he is now a 23-year-old man. Child and grown-up Timmy still retain several similarities. They both wear a pink hat and shirt with denim jeans. Timmy keeps his messy brown hair. The most unfortunate similarity they share is that grown-p Timmy is also still enrolled at Dimmsdale Elementary School. He has remained in fifth grade for the past several years so he wouldn’t lose his fairy godparents. At least we learn that Cosmo and Wanda stay faithful to Timmy for over a decade.
9 Just Tell Her She’s Pretty!
Trixie Tang has it all. She’s the most popular girl in school, considered attractive by every student, and extremely wealthy. Everyone works hard to impress Trixie, but she often ignores them. She is aware of how much people fawn over her. All of that attention might have gone to her head, as she usually appears cold-hearted in the show. The only time she’s nice to one of the students who crush on her, Timmy, is when they’re away from the crowd.
Trixie shares the interests that most other popular girls in cartoons and movies do. She likes makeup, fashion magazines, and dressing stylishly. She’s become so obsessed with her looks that her most well-known catchphrase is, “Tell me I’m pretty!”
Neoslashott has created a fan comic of Trixie taking her looks too seriously. She demands that the person on the receiving end of her cries tells her she’s pretty. Her eyes show that she’s gone manic from being so obsessed with her looks. What’s worse is that she’s holding a whip and is demanding a response. If she’s not told that she’s pretty, she might hurt someone.
8 Opposites Attract
In other classic fairy tales, most children are only granted one fairy godparent. In Disney’s Cinderella, the protagonist only has a single fairy godmother who helps her go to the ball. Sleeping Beauty was given three fairy godparents. Timmy is lucky that he has two fairy godparents, Wanda and Cosmo. They’re a married couple who work together to help unfortunate children like Timmy.
Cosmo and Wanda’s relationship is an excellent example of how opposites attract. Cosmo isn’t as stern as his wife. He enjoys having fun with Timmy and often grants his godson’s craziest requests. If Wanda wasn’t there to stop him, there’s no telling how much trouble they could get in together.
In this comic by poroshya, Cosmo knows that Wanda is intelligent. He’s happy to have her by his side since she often corrects his horrible wish-fulfilling mistakes. Wanda isn’t so sure why she married him. She thinks he’s cute, but can’t think of any other reason why she married him. After seeing the couple together on screen for over a decade, we know how much they love each other, even if it can’t be expressed by words.
7 She’s Not Bad, Just Written That Way
Chloe Carmichael first debuted in season 10 of The Fairly OddParents. Fans were shocked to learn that Cosmo and Wanda had been assigned to her due to a shortage of fairy godparents. The status quo had been shaken up in a decade and fans were enraged. It didn’t seem fair that Timmy was being forced to share his fairies with a new character.
Long-time viewers didn’t want to give Chloe a chance. Thankfully, Timmy liked his new next-door neighbor. They became classmates at Dimmsdale Elementary School, and she became Mr. Crocker’s top student. Timmy has remained her only real friend in the series.
Timmy and Chloe’s parents also share similarities. They both leave for extended periods of time. Some viewers believed that Chloe didn’t deserve fairy godparents because she didn’t suffer as much as Timmy.
In this fanart by Coonfootproductions, Chloe makes a plea to viewers that it isn’t her fault that she has an almost perfect life.
It’s because of the writer’s decisions that Chloe appears in The Fairly OddParents in the first place. She hopes viewers will give her a chance, just like Timmy.
6 Look Beyond The Glasses
Timmy has had a long-running crush on the most popular girl in school, Trixie Tang. He thinks she’s beautiful and popular but doesn’t know more about her until later. When they first meet, he’s only attracted to her looks, like her other admirers in class. When he is turned into a girl, he learns that although Trixie is into fashion, she also has an interest in comic books and superheroes.
Meanwhile, another girl is pining for Timmy’s affections. Tootie has bad feelings for Timmy for just as long as he’s cared for Trixie. She helps him whenever she can, unlike Trixie who only gives him the time of day if it’s convenient for her. Timmy cares more about looks than personality traits.
Cookie-Lovely has created a comic that shows Tootie’s true feelings. For years, he wasn’t interested in her because of her pigtails and glasses. Once she takes them off, he discovers she’s stunning. She’s so attractive that in typical cartoon fashion, his mouth is hanging open and he’s drooling.
Tootie is hurt that Timmy only cares about her appearance. She loves him, but can’t accept that he only cares about her looks. Tootie tells him that they can never be together as long as he’s so shallow.
5 Trixie’s Double Life
Trixie Tang is the most popular 10-year-old girl at Dimmsdale Elementary School. Girls, like her best friend Veronica, want to be her, while guys, like Timmy, want to be with her. She knows she’s the envy of her friends. When they’re not paying her enough attention, she will demand that people tell her she’s pretty.
Trixie has an interest in the stereotypical hobbies of young girls: clothing, make-up, and beauty magazines. She always wants to be on top of the latest fashion trends to keep her title as “Most Popular” at school.
Chadrocco gives us insight into Trixie’s double life. She may enjoy being stylish, but she also has other hobbies that she feels ashamed about. Trixie is an avid comic book fan. When she’s visiting her local comic book store, she hides her long hair under a red cap. Instead of a purple dress, she wears a long-sleeved purple sweater. This change may be who she really is, or she’s just hiding her real identity.
Trixie’s disguise isn’t working very well. Due to trying on multiple perfume samples from a magazine, she emits an unusual scent. Another child in the store has noticed someone smelling his a group of grandmas.
4 Cartoons Have Changed
Danny Phantom began a few years after The Fairly OddParents. It was a much more serious show about a teenage boy who becomes half-human and half-phantom. Danny uses his supernatural powers to hunt ghosts. The show only lasted for three seasons. Meanwhile, The Fairly OddParents continued to air for over a decade. The network has shifted many times, from showing game shows, Nicktoons, to live-action dramas. Nickelodeon cartoons have come a long way since the network has debuted.
Diddly-dark-ghost has created a comic that some long-time viewers of Nickelodeon may find relatable. Danny Phantom, who was once on the network, wants to watch some “reality” television. He’s a cartoon character, so other cartoons are considered real life to him.
Once Danny turns on the tv, he’s horrified at how The Fairly OddParents has changed over the years.
The Fairly OddParents has changed from a show about a young boy with fairy godparents. Now Cosmo and Wanda are parents, with Cosmo carrying the baby. Timmy now has to deal with Cosmo, Wanda, and little Poof. Not only have the godparents changed, but there’s also a new character named Chloe who shares the fairies with Timmy. The show has changed significantly. For many viewers, these changes have been for the worse and not better.
3 Cosmo’s Limited Knowledge
Cosmo and Wanda spend a majority of their time granting Timmy’s wishes. As soon as they appeared in the series, some fans were curious if the couple would have children.
Ragtatter imagined that their child would have the hair color of Cosmo, but the pompadour-like curl of Wanda. The baby also shares the same pink eye color of Wanda but lacks pupils. Cosmo is happy to see his beautiful child. He wants his baby to have the best future possible. Cosmo states that he will teach the young child everything he knows but realizes that he doesn’t know much. Wanda doesn’t appear surprised, and neither are viewers. Cosmo is often portrayed as unintelligent on the show. In this comic, his child doesn’t seem to mind and smiles anyway.
Wanda and Cosmo’s child Poof wouldn’t appear until Season 6 of the show. This left plenty of fans to speculate on what couple would be like as parents. From Season 6 onward, we knew what Cosmo would be like after the birth of his son, Poof. His son realizes that his father doesn’t have the same intelligence as his mom, but still loves him for what he does know.
2 Old Fans Versus New Fans
Oh Yeah! Cartoons first debuted The Fairly OddParents in September 1998. It was composed of ten short cartoons about a young boy named Timmy Turner. The cartoon ended up being so popular that Nickelodeon turned it into a series. The Fairly OddParents has lasted for ten seasons with three live-action tv series.
Drawinglamandsam shows how much the characters have changed in the past decade. The original Timmy was quite different from the Timmy in the cartoon series. His cap and shirt were a slightly lighter pink color. He wore black pants instead of a dark blue. The most significant change was the size of his head. It was quite longer than his newer version with more hints of red in his hair. Timmy appeared to be slightly older and the same height of his future love interest, Trixie.
Over the years, Timmy has gone through some visual changes since the late 90s. In 2015, Timmy is still quite short and hasn’t grown an inch. His cap and shirt are now a darker magenta color, even though most characters call it “pink.” His hairstyle is brown with no hints of red. We don’t see Timmy go through any significant changes until his live-action adaptation, where he is 23-years-old.
1 Fans Are Still Upset About Chloe
Timmy Turner was granted fairy godparents due to the harm he endured from grown-ups. His parents were often absent and didn’t pay much attention to him. They would go on vacation, leaving him with the horrible babysitter, Vicky. She purposely set him up to look bad in front of his parents.
Timmy wasn’t the only child that could be granted magical help. Garabatoz shows that Tootie met the requirements. Her older sister was the same person who harmed Timmy. Tootie’s only friend was also her crush, Timmy. He didn’t want anything to do with her most of the time. Another candidate was Trixie. She appeared to be perfect, but on the inside, she may have felt she was putting up an act. Trixie’s friends might only hang out with her because she’s popular and not because they like her.
Chloe, the newest character in the series, was granted fairy godparents before other long-running characters.
She was first introduced in Season 10 as an intelligent girl that everyone loves. Chloe’s parents are usually away on adventures, leaving her to be alone and lonely. She throws parties to make friends, but her only real friend is Timmy. Compared to the other children, she doesn’t have it so bad.
