With the majority of Disney films, the main characters tend to be very young adults who go on all sorts of magical adventures. And with most Disney animated movies, especially the classics like Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty, the story focuses on a young woman who ends up meeting a handsome guy and falling in love. The two then get married and live happily ever after. Even with odd or random sequels, there’s very few times where we get to actually see what their happily ever after is like.
And with most Disney princesses, they’re not really shown starting families. One main exception to this rule, of course, is Princess Ariel having a daughter named Melody. If you haven’t watched the sequel to The Little Mermaid yet, you really should, as it’s surprisingly good.
Disney is odd with its sequels. Sure, we have so many, but the majority of those films focus on other random adventures the characters go on. Maybe you’ve never thought of some of your favorite heroines and princesses having children, but with how many of them actually end up getting married, surely that’s the next step in their lives, right?
Most of the images that you’re about to see are adorable pictures of what these characters’ children could look like. And in other pictures, they explore options of what the character raising the child could look like. So prepare yourself for both humorous and adorable moments. Time to imagine your favorite Disney females all grown up and mothering future Disney magic.
25 I Miss Sleeping
First off, unless Maleficent has magically come back from the grave, this comic isn’t even logical. After all, Prince Phillip ended up destroying her via stabbing with a sword so unless this is Kingdom Hearts, this is pretty illogical. Anyway, I’m sure it’s safe to assume that after Aurora and Phillip found their happily ever after with one another, they probably popped out a kid soon after.
And most parents know that sleep pretty much evades you after you have your first child. You would think that after pricking her finger on that spindle that Aurora would know better than to trust Maleficent. But I guess, to Aurora, sleep is far more important than her child’s safety.
Clearly, anyone can tell that Maleficent is up to something in this picture. This will be Sleeping Beauty 2.0, and this time, the witch will make sure there’s no way to break the spell. Dang, it’s hard to believe that Aurora is still so addicted to sleep that she’s willing to do whatever it takes to make her daughter be quiet for six hours.
Also, am I bad for saying that Aurora’s baby doesn’t look like her? You would think that with royal genes, she would be absolutely gorgeous.
24 Let It Go 2.0
So I hope some of you will agree on this in that it’s very difficult to imagine Elsa being a housewife, let alone a mother. After all, she’s the image of Disney’s rebellion, showing girls that they don’t need a man to save them. Even though we had Merida be a prime example of that before Elsa’s movie came out, but hey, nobody really talks about Brave for some reason.
Anyway, here’s an artist’s concept of what Elsa would look like if she were a mother.
Honestly, the kid looks very similar to Jack Frost, which doesn’t surprise me in the least, considering how many Jelsa shippers exist.
If Elsa did have a kid, regardless of who the father is, it’s a pretty safe assumption that her child would have magical powers as well. However, I don’t really think that would lead to Frozen 2.0 since Elsa actually knows how to control her powers, even though it literally took Anna almost perishing for her to realize that “Oh yeah, love as a cure makes sense.” And the child actually looks very happy with its powers. With a mom like Queen Elsa, they’ll have absolutely nothing to worry about when it comes to their “cool” powers.
23 A Whole New Chapter
Aladdin is my favorite Disney movie of all time because of its story. The film breaks so many stereotypes that other Disney animated films have. For example, the main male lead is far from a prince. Sure, he has the qualities of one, but not the fame and fortune. On the other hand, Jasmine is a princess who doesn’t want to fit into the regular mold of marrying a man just for the sake of the royal bloodline.
So yes, to me, it was a major breakthrough in Disney animation because it showed both boys and girls that love can actually blossom instead of just looking at a handsome man and thinking, “I want to marry him.”
It warms my heart to see fan art of Jasmine pregnant with Aladdin’s child. They would both be excellent parents, even though we all know that in the third film, Aladdin doubts himself big time and especially wonders if he’d be a good father since he grew up without his. Even though we don’t get to see an actual child between the two canonically, I really think both Aladdin and Jasmine would be excellent parents.
22 A Dream Is A Wish
Even though Cinderella has so many spin-offs, sequels, and remakes, we never get to actually see what they’re like as a couple. Sure, Charming searched the entire kingdom to find the one who fit into the glass slipper. But wasn’t that all because he fell in love with her just for her beauty? I mean, they barely did any talking while they danced and by the time the dance was finished, Cindy took off.
But even though we know next to nothing about what their actual relationship is like, here’s a concept artwork of what the two would be like if they did have children. This almost reminds me of the whole discussion surrounding William and Kate at the moment. Because yes, we’re not going to focus on the beautiful new royal family member.
Instead, we’re going to discuss how Kate looks after just giving birth. The British royal family has to keep up their image, I guess. I feel like this is the same story here. Cinderella just gave birth and the Fairy Godmother had to help her get all in makeup before showing off her new child to the world. Okay, maybe I’m looking way too deep into this.
21 Princess Anna: Good Mom, Bad Mom
Okay, even though I love Frozen a lot, I am just really unsure as to whether or not Princess Anna would be a good mother. Think about some of the decisions she makes in the film. Yes, I understand that she’s supposed to be rather clumsy and somewhat of a ditz, but don’t you think she fell in love with Prince Hans of the Southern Isles rather quickly?
I get that it’s poking fun at the old Disney stereotype of “Disney female meets man once and immediately falls in love,” but what if Anna were to do something like that with a child? Say, what if she thought she was ready for a child, but then when Kristoff and Anna conceived one, she regretted her decision?
I feel like Anna would be a good mother, but at a better time where she’s a bit more mature and wiser.
Don’t make her personality anything like Elsa’s, but maybe at least show that yes, Anna can be a serious parental figure.
The same goes for Kristoff. He’s also a big and somewhat clumsy dork, so I feel like he’d have some work to do on his own behavior before he became a father.
20 New Hero Of China
Going away from Frozen, Mulan was a really strong and powerful woman as well. And to be real, she made a lot of sacrifices in comparison to Elsa, who just ran away from all her issues. Sure, Mulan ran away from home, but that was all for the sake of saving her father from perishing in battle. What did Elsa do? She ran because she was afraid of hurting people, even though said people like Anna attempted to reach out and help her.
Mulan and Shang are both strong, independent characters that it’s honestly kind of weird to even think about them having a kid. But at the same time, I support this. Go forth, you two, and show that your child will be the next savior of China.
This is also a very lovely artwork. It definitely seems like a type of pose that Mulan and Shang would do if they decided to have a maternity shoot. Shang just looks so in love with her and so happy to have her and the unborn child safe in his arms. But it’s also funny because once upon a time, Mulan was Ping. And now look at how far we’ve come.
19 We’re There
I will forever be salty that The Princess and the Frog isn’t an extremely popular Disney film. To be honest, it’s one of my favorites because it just reminded me so much of the classic Disney princess films. Now I know I’ve been discussing stereotypes, but it was nice to get back to that while also seeing the female lead, Tiana, be so strong and hardworking all on her own.
At first, she isn’t even the least bit interested in Naveen and would much rather focus on her restaurant. Talk about dedication right there. But regardless, magic voodoo happens, they both turn into frogs and Tiana and Naveen fall in love.
Do we know if this union results in a child? Obviously, we’re not sure, but it would come as no surprise if the couple had children shortly after their marriage. And it looks like they might’ve decided to bring their daughter to the bayou they got married in when they were frogs, which is really sweet.
Can you imagine the stories they’d get to tell that kid, too? “Yeah sweetie, once upon a time, your daddy and I got turned into frogs. And there were talking animals, too. I almost got turned into frog legs.”
18 Beauty And The Baby
I also love Beauty and the Beast because of who Belle is as a character. She’s so tough, quirky, and rebellious. And in comparison to most Disney females, she doesn’t fall in love with the main lead male character right away. Similar to Aladdin and Jasmine, it takes time and experience with one another to grow to love one another.
So once they reach their happily ever, and the Beast transforms back into Prince Adam, I’m sure they probably decided to have a child shortly after everything returned to a state of normalcy. This artwork is really gorgeous because it shows how Belle would be as a mother. She looks a little worn out, but she’s still very happy to be holding her child.
Now I must admit that I am curious to know how Prince Adam would be as a father. Considering his rudeness and immaturity led him to be transformed into a beast, I’m sure he probably has some growing to do before he could even think about raising a kid. Belle I could definitely see being a good mother because she would always read to them or constantly tell her children that it’s okay to be different from everyone else.
17 Can I Go Back To The Sea?
Unless you’re completely oblivious to the lore, I’m sure you’re fully aware that Princess Ariel canonically is a mother. In The Little Mermaid II, Ariel and Eric have a daughter named Melody. This child’s birth is more or less a symbol of the human and mermaid worlds uniting as one. However, Ursula’s evil sister Morgana is set on ruining this happiness and attempts to end the child.
For her daughter’s safety, Ariel decides to keep Melody unaware of the merfolk, including her own grandfather, King Triton.
A wall is built around Eric’s kingdom, preventing people from ever accessing the seawaters again.
Of course, to keep the plot going, Morgana convinces Melody to steal Triton’s trident and even turns her into a mermaid to allow her to do so. Since Melody actually exists, let’s just pretend this child is her. I could see this being accurate. There’d be so many responsibilities with raising a human child that it makes me wonder if raising a mer-child would be the same thing.
Ariel just doesn’t look happy to be in the position she’s in. And I sure hope that Prince Eric is doing his fair share of feeding his ornery child, too.
16 Accuracy
At first, I was really confused as to what Flynn was doing in this picture. But then, I realized just how accurate it is for his character. If he and Rapunzel were to end up having a child together, he’d prepare himself for the inevitable, smelly mess with a gas mask. However, with the time period Tangled takes place in, I don’t really think he’d have access to this kind of technology.
So sure, the representation is hilarious but considering the reality of it, Flynn wouldn’t have access to a gas mask. Also, can you imagine if Maximus and Pascal were left alone to babysit? Would shenanigans ensue like in Tangled Ever After, where the wedding ring is nearly lost to oblivion?
I’m sure a baby born to Rapunzel and Flynn would be gorgeous and also extremely ornery, but let’s just hope that child doesn’t get taken like Rapunzel did. Believe me. These are not parents that you’d want to mess with. They wouldn’t let anything stop them from rescuing their child. I know that.
And I’m also going to safely assume that this kid would also have Rapunzel’s healing and regenerative abilities? I’m going to say yes since it seems like a generational power.
15 Not Sleeping Anymore
Once again, here we are discussing what it would be like for Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip from Sleeping Beauty to have a child. This is one of the more intense art works because it shows Aurora in labor while Phillip just stands there, doing his best to act as support. Thankfully, I haven’t had to experience childbirth yet, but I have experienced other similar pains. So I can’t even imagine what squeezing a child out of you feels like.
Also, I can’t help but laugh at the hands in the lower corner. What, do they expect the baby to just pop out and they’re going to catch it? Because the last time I checked, that’s not how childbirth works. And hey, at least Aurora’s not asleep.
Here’s a fun fact for you that I hope doesn’t ruin your view too much of Sleeping Beauty. There’s a version of this story out there where basically the prince ends up taking advantage of Aurora while she’s sleeping. I’m sure you understand what I mean by that. It’s pretty crazy to think about, but that’s how dark most of these fairytales actually were. But this is Disney. Disney is all fun and magic.
14 A New Color Of The Wind
I really can see Pocahontas being an excellent mom. However, I really want to ask that question of whose child it is. I’m going to assume John Rolfe. Yes, I typed that correctly. If you haven’t watched the sequel to Pocahontas, then you’ll have absolutely no clue what I’m talking about.
Anyway, Pocahontas is a real, historical figure. In the sequel, the film does its “Disney explanation” of how Pocahontas went to England and was accompanied by John Rolfe, an Englishman who also fell in love with Pocahontas. Toward the end of that film, it’s believed that she fell in love with Rolfe, which is historically accurate, but leaves Disney fans wishing the romance would’ve happened with John Smith.
This also makes me curious how the child would be raised.
Will they be taught both the ways of Native Americans and the English? Or will they solely be raised one way or the other? If there was only one option, I’d personally like to see the child be raised as a Native American. There’s far too many Englishmen anyway, Pocahontas. Raise your child the way you want to raise them. This is also a lovely artwork. It’s absolutely gorgeous.

13 Listen To The Dream
So even though Cinderella had an extremely difficult childhood, I really think she’d be an awesome mother. For one, she’d make sure that her children understood that they don’t know just how difficult chores can be. They might not have to do chores since they’re royal children, but because of their lifestyle, they’ll never be able to understand all the hardship their mother endured.
I think this artwork is also pretty accurate. Cinderella adores music, so why wouldn’t she want her baby to be stimulated this way? Obviously, this is a more modern take on the character, but I love how her shirt is a very similar style to the pink dress the mice and birds fixed up for her.
Speaking of the birds and mice, I’m assuming that they would also be very present in the baby’s life? And if they were, they’d only be around for a few years because of their lifespans. Not to be that person, but I’m pretty sure that’s how it would work out. And I don’t think any of the royal family members would approve of their future heir being around such “vermin.” It’s interesting to actually think about how a child like Cinderella’s would be raised.
12 One Happy Family
I feel like I’ve mentioned Aurora a lot in this, but I guess it really intrigues me as to what kind of mother she would be. Let’s be real. Since there’s not really anything in terms of a sequel or spin-off besides that Maleficent movie, we don’t really know a lot about Aurora as a character. Yes, she’s beautiful and has a lovely singing voice, but what about her motherly instincts?
The same really goes for Prince Phillip. He’s handsome and heroic, but would he be able to change a diaper? In this picture, it looks like the couple is raising twins, which is really adorable. And I have to say this, but can we talk about the dress? No really. Is it purple, or is it just me?
I mean, blue and pink can kind of make a shade of purple, so I wouldn’t be surprised if that was what the artist was attempting to go for here. Maybe that was a nice compromise for the three fairies? Speaking of, does this mean that Aurora’s children were blessed by them as well? How about you make sure that they’ll forever be safe from any spinning wheels and dragons? That’d be a good start.
11 She Looks Great
Okay, but after analyzing a lot of Disney princesses with their children pictures, it really does amaze me just how great they all look. This really is a “Kate and William” story of how the Duchess of Cambridge is all beautified and dressed up immediately after childbirth to show off her new child to the world.
I mean, think about it. Think about how much attention all these royal children are going to get. First off, they’re the sons and daughters of well-known Disney characters. On top of that, the majority of them are royal family members. They’re constantly in the public eye and have to act prim and proper.
However, in the case of Aladdin and Jasmine’s child, I hope that wouldn’t be the case. After all, the mother and father are so mischievous and rebellious that you would think the child would take after their behavior and do the same things. Though, Jasmine just looks so calm in this picture, even though her hair is being tugged on. The real question is, will this child also get a pet tiger or will her parents see that as way too dangerous? Speaking of the kid, her outfit is so cute!
10 Let’s Build A Snowman
We discussed my thoughts earlier on Princess Anna being a mother. I just think she needs time to mature and grow before she raises a kid. After all, I’m assuming she barely got to interact with people her age since Elsa was constantly locked up in her room. I’ll say it. After the incident where Elsa accidentally hit Anna with her ice powers, that messed up Anna’s life entirely.
A white streak in her hair was next to nothing. But because Elsa and the king and queen feared so much for their younger daughter’s safety, they kept Elsa in solitude and kept the doors to the castle locked.
If you really think about it, that makes no sense. And here we have a similar example of Anna trying to confront her angsty teenage daughter who looks like she’s going through her “boy band” phase and refuses to listen to cute Disney songs. And yet, the daughter isn’t wrong. As long as Elsa’s powers haven’t faded away, Olaf is still alive and sentient. Going off of the song lyrics, what else would Anna and her daughter build besides a snowman? Maybe an ice sculpture of her kid’s favorite boy band member?

9 I See The Light
Once again, here we are talking about the lovely couple that is Rapunzel and Flynn from Tangled. Their personalities are both so quirky and adorable that it might be difficult for some to imagine the two as parents. But like I was discussing earlier, this artwork is proof that their child would get the magic flower’s power.
Since this is the case, I really hope Rapunzel and Flynn learn a lesson from the whole bad Mother Gothel experience and make sure that security is extremely tight in Corona. However, let’s not make it to the point like The Little Mermaid where you separate your daughter from her grandfather and six aunts.
Otherwise, she’s just going to end up with a rebellious streak and fight against you anyway.
I will admit though. There is one aspect of this picture I am curious about. If the lantern lighting ceremony was held in honor of the lost princess, a.k.a. Rapunzel, would they really continue doing that after her return? Or is it supposed to symbolize that as long as you have hope, the people you love will always come floating back to you? Here I am, once again overanalyzing a piece of art.
8 Best Chefs
No matter which heroine we focus on, I think it’s pretty safe to say that the majority of Disney mothers would be excellent chefs and make sure that their children are fed the best quality meals. However, Tiana and Cinderella would definitely be the top ranking chefs out of all the Disney princesses.
First off, Tiana has a lot of cooking experience. She’s been making dishes since she was five, and when she was old enough, she began working in a restaurant, with dreams to own her own someday. As for Cinderella, well, after her parents passed away, she ended up doing a lot of cooking and cleaning. Not to be that person, but she was more or less forced to end up becoming a good chef. At least cooking was a passion for Tiana.
But regardless of their cooking origin stories, Tiana’s and Cinderella’s daughters look thrilled to be eating their mother’s cooking. Thankfully, they shouldn’t have to lead lives like their moms, working hours on end to buy a building or satisfy a stepmother. Unless the cycle ends up repeating itself and Cinderella passes away? Or Tiana suddenly becomes flat broke? You have to consider all of the possibilities here, no matter how dark they may be.
7 A Snowman?
I won’t discuss my thoughts on Princess Anna being emotionally unready to be a mother anymore. Rather, let’s look at this from a perspective on Anna being an acting mother. In this picture, Anna looks exhausted from pulling her two children around in a sled. First off, isn’t Sven around to help you out? Or is he too busy acting goofy with Kristoff?
Second, couldn’t Elsa also help out and bend the icy elements to create a safe sleigh ride for her niece and nephew? I guess everyone in Arendelle is too busy to help Anna keep the kids entertained. However, can we talk about Anna wearing pants? I know it doesn’t fit the time period, but it’s really cool to see her wearing them.
I’ll give Anna credit, though. Her kids seem very entertained with the sleigh ride. Anna’s doing this for them, no matter how difficult or tiresome it may be. I also do have to wonder. If Elsa was born with her powers, is there a possibility that one of Anna’s children could have those abilities as well? Or once again, am I looking into these things way too deeply? It really is food for thought.
6 Neglecting Your Studies?
Belle looks very upset, and for all the right reasons. Whether kids like it or not, studying is important in order to fully develop as a person. Schoolwork allows students to figure out what areas of life interest them and helps them to decide a career path they want to go on. Royalty or not, Belle and Adam’s child has to study like every other kid, especially since someday they’ll take over the throne.
However, it looks like their kid is sleeping instead of studying, so it’s no wonder that Belle is pretty angry about this. But maybe the child just had a rough day? Don’t be too hard on them, Belle. After all, kids will be kids.
What probably ticked off Belle, even more, is that the kid was probably studying for some big English exam and passed out due to boredom. I’m sure Belle would still adore her child even if they hate reading. Hopefully, Adam is also a good father to the kid and makes sure that they do their studies. He’d probably be the one to calm the beast in Belle and tell her to not be as strict on the kid. Remember folks. Pushing your kids to the limit is not the way to go about doing things.
