We all love Overwatch; it’s been one of the most entertaining first-person shooters out there and certainly one of the bigger successes Blizzard has made in a while. The characters are all fabulous, colorful and deep people that fans can relate to and care about. This is more than just a point and shoot kind of game. It’s one where the story is important, despite having no campaign in the game, and tells you something you can really invest in.

Disney is no different in this respect. A lot of us grew up watching the many different movies Disney made and really paid attention to the stories they told. They were important to us and meant something. Besides, who doesn’t love at least one Disney movie? It’s practically unthinkable. Which is why the only logical thing to do is to combine these two fandoms to create something truly spectacular. If you’ve ever wondered what the Overwatch characters would look like if they were reimagined as Disney characters, we’re here to serve. Rapunzel as Tracer or Genji as Iron Man? It’s all here. These are 25 Overwatch characters reimagined in a Disney setting.

25 Mercy As Elsa Will MAKE You Let It Go!

The wings are what really get us in this photo, as Mercy does look like she’d do an excellent Elsa cosplay. Part of that is because Mercy does look a lot like Elsa in the face and already has the hair to match. I’m sure Elsa would make an excellent healer when her team needs back up. That is, unless she decides to freeze over the entire map instead. There’s a lot of beautiful detail that the artist put into this cross over, especially in the dress and armor design.

Mercy and Elsa might actually have a lot more in common than people might think. Angela is very much a heroine who wants to fight for peace and what is right. Her whole look is designed around being a guardian angel to those she tries to heal. She’s smart, kind and caring. This is very similar to Elsa who also wants to do what’s right, however, she is a bit more nervous than her angelic counterpart. After all, she has ice powers, a magic that doesn’t tend to mix well with healing most of the time. That is, unless you consider Elsa defrosting her home after encasing it with ice for a couple weeks a healing process. Self-healing can be the most important kind!

24 Reyes Joined The Dark Side

We have Star Wars in the Disney world, so here’s Reyes as his very own Sith! Any Overwatch fan could definitely see this happening. Of course, it might be just a little more dramatic if we could see the famous Reaper mask in a Sith setting. The reds and blacks all make this piece really stand out for Reyes, as he looks more broody than usual, which is kind of astounding considering his usual temperament. Just thinking about how Reyes’ body changed after the experiments, we have to wonder what that would mean in terms of him using the force. Since he can turn into black smoke, any Jedi trying to fight him is going to have a heck of a time. All we need now is Solider 76 as a Jedi master. Please also give us Zenyatta as Yoda.

What’s interesting about the artist’s version of Reyes as a Sith is that he has two lightsabers instead of just one. There’s actually a term for those that utilize two lightsabers during battle; Jar’Kai. While this isn’t the only form of lightsaber battling that uses dual blades, it is a blanket term for the style of fighting, which it looks like Reyes has achieved.

23 McCree As Woody; Reach For The Sky!

This seemed a little too obvious. Just put the most popular cowboys together and you’re all set! Of course, we have to admit, McCree as Woody is both hilarious and precious at the same time. We’d give anything to hear him shout, “There’s a snake in my boot!” Despite both of them having the classic cowboy theme going, they’re actually worlds apart with their personalities. Woody has always been a leader of his team, even if he’s not always their favorite, and he also always wants to do what’s right for everyone.

Save a horse, ride a cowboy.

That’s not entirely true for McCree. Again, this is the same guy that smuggled in weapons before his non-voluntary time with the Blackwatch team. Of course, this doesn’t mean McCree is really a bad guy or anything. In fact, he felt that by staying with Reyes’ team he could help atone for the things he’d done in the past and actually found enjoyment in his new job fighting baddies. Still, a lot of people still like to see McCree as a hero, just like we see Woody!

22 Reyes As A Grumpy Stitch

Reyes would be an angry Stitch. Just look at that sneer! We wouldn’t have thought of this little crossover, but it’s certainly an adorable one. You know that saying about being cute when angry? That seems fitting for Reyes in this position. Reyes is a little more controlled than Stitch is when he first arrives to Hawaii, but that doesn’t mean the two would have a full-on feud if they were to meet in real life. The only thing that could make this better would be if he was in a full Reaper costume instead of just his casual Reyes outfits.

Gabriel was born a human, but after the experiments done to his body, his cells began to decay and regenerate at an astonishing rate. So now we’re not entirely sure what Reaper is, but it’s safe to say he and Stitch might actually get along since Stitch himself was an experiment. Stitch can also cause a mass amount of destruction if he wanted to, which we’re sure Reaper would find very useful in his own missions. Could you imagine the kind of distractions Stitch could cause while Reaper dives in to steal information? Somehow, we don’t think Lilo would want Stitch to join Reaper’s crew…

21 Genji Would Be Unstoppable With This Suit

This Genji/Iron Man is so realistic and amazing that you can only dream of this being a skin in the game. That may be perhaps the biggest dream to come out of this list. Genji really does look like he could be one of the Avengers wearing this suit and would any of them even notice that Tony’s gone missing? Captain America might actually ignore the differences on purpose.

With Infinity War now out in theaters, we just have to add some of Disney’s most heroic people to our list, with no spoilers of course. There are some similarities between Genji and Tony, mostly because they both have bits of technology now in them they probably with didn’t have to be there. Tony is just fortunate he doesn’t have enough tech in him to be considered a cyborg, something Genji struggled with accepting. In fact, during Christmas, he was found with Zenyatta who was trying to help Genji learn to accept his new body and find joy in his life. When your post-apocalyptic world has been built off the war of Omnics and humans, being a cyborg can be really rough. Tony at least could take out his arc reactor.

20 Timon And Pumbaa Have A Whole New Look

They already get into too much trouble in game, but this definitely takes the cake. Out of all the adorable crossovers we found, this one is both adorable but also just a tad bit… frightening. Timon and Pumbaa have always been the loveable duo that no one can hate, but Roadhog and Junkrat are a bit overboard for such loveable Disney characters. If you’re a fan of the crazy friends, you might really like this fanart quite a bit!

It’s pretty obvious why the artist used Pumbaa for Roadhog, but one is a ruthless killer and the other one saved a cub that could have eaten him. Roadhog had a pretty rough go of things after losing his home to Omnics that gained it in hopes of sorting out peace. What really ended up happening was a apocalyptic type of battle where things got way more than out of hand. Roadhog has become one of the most well-known shooters in the world since then. Meerkats aren’t really rats, but Timon does do a good crazy-faced Junkrat! His obsession with explosives also came from the madness that had ensued on the Outback, leaving him a Junker with nothing other than his homemade bombs.

19 Overwatch Is Now Inside Out!

These emotions are just a little too accurate for these characters and it kind of hurts. Inside Out was a touching movie that showed us how emotions in our heads tend to work. It helped to simplify something that’s usually very complicated and difficult to understand. This piece seems to be looking at the more prominent emotions these Overwatch characters seem to always be showing. Except for maybe Mei, who usually isn’t all that sad.

Tracer certainly fits as Joy. She’s always optimistic and wants everything to go smoothly which was always Joy’s role.

Mei is also a usually generally cheerful character in the game and story, but it looks like here she’s a bit more down in the dumps. Not that we can blame her, after all she did wake up from a frozen sleep to find most of her friends had passed. Still, she does make a cute Sadness and the colors from her suit match well. Widowmaker is perhaps the funniest choice to put with Disgust, as she does always seem mildly perturbed with something. It’s not something we would have thought of, but Widowmaker does usually keep to herself and, when she does speak, it’s never anything particularly nice or fun.

18 A Couple Of Archers

Hanzo as Merida makes sense, as both Hanzo and Merida both use archery as their main choice in fighting styles, which is probably where the inspiration came from for this picture. As hilarious as it is to see Hanzo in Merida’s usual getup, these two actually do have quite paralleled personalities.

Hanzo hasn’t been the most cheerful character in Overwatch and it’s not too hard to see why. His life has continuously revolved around a clan that forced him to take out his own brother, Genji, who only wished to live life outside of crime. Hanzo was conditioned to be able to take over the Shimada family empire, a literal clan of assassins, but after he attacked Genji and thought him dead, he swore off his father’s legacy and decided to live for himself. He also swore off swords, which is why he relies on only his bow. Merida does not have such a tragic tale, but she too wants to live her life the way she wants. Through her sheer stubbornness and capability to save her family, she proves her point. Hanzo could probably pick up a tip or two from the curly haired princess.

17 Doomfist Needs This As A Skin

Thanos is already horrifying, but this Doomfist version is really bone-chilling. It fits so well and that Gauntlet is awesome. Of course, we all know that Thanos is demanding silence at the moment, so we won’t go much into the Infinity Gauntlet or the war it’s about to start in the MCU, but this is one of those wonderful pieces of art that really needs to be admired. What’s unique about it is that Doomfist’s gauntlet and the Infinity Gauntlet have been fused so that it matches both worlds; its look is super detailed. We don’t really know how to feel seeing as Doomfist clearly has all the stones that come with it.

There’s actually reason these two would get along. Doomfist’s oveall goal is to plunge the world into strife in hopes of making humanity stronger. Thanos needs the Stones to complete the Gauntlet so that he can try to change the world (in the MCU at least). Both of them seem to have good ideas about peace or evolving to be better, but the means to get there are purely ideas of mad men. Let’s just hope Blizzard never gives their universe an Infinity Gauntlet parallel.

16 Hiro’s Suit Looks Familiar

Hiro’s suit does have some similarities to D.Va’s, so this one is just too spot on! Considering how brave and courageous both Hiro and Hana are, it’s no wonder this mashup is such a good fit. Not to mention, both of them have a similar love for robots and mechs. Could you imagine a Hiro D.Va skin with a Baymax mech? We can’t tell if that would be adorable, horrifying or simply awesome! Although, considering how Baymax acts when his healthcare chip is removed, we’d hate to see the kind of damage he’d cause on the battle field.

Hana Song is extremely competitive and will do whatever it takes to win, no matter the cost. Her usual character is cute, despite being deadly in combat. Because of her video game skills and fearless personality, she was chosen to pilot her own mech and soon became extremely reputable. Hiro had the very same instinct to win no matter the cost, but he learned that it wasn’t always the right thing to do. His journey was to learn to forgive through Baymax and he got there. Of course, both of these characters are in completely different situation and we can only imagine the kind of person Hiro would be in a war against the Omnic.

15 An Icy Partnership

Mei already has snow covered, as she even has her own Olaf! Not only does Mei already have “ice powers”, in a way, she also has a cute companion that no one could ever possibly turn down. Snowball as Olaf really makes sense; just look at those little hairs at the top of his head or his carrot! He looks like he’s about to charge fiercely into a match with Mei covering his back.

If you already get annoyed by her ice wall in game, you can only imagine how frustrating she’d be with all of Elsa’s powers.

All Mei ever wanted to do was save the world and preserve it for the future generations to come. It’s a bit ironic that she’d be portrayed as Elsa, considering the Disney queen, then princess, froze her kingdom to a frightening point. If that’s not an unnatural force of nature, who knows what is. As someone who saw how damaged the world was becoming, we wonder if Mei would’ve found Elsa’s powers horrifying or useful. Is there a way she could save the world with ice powers? If anyone is going to find a way, it certainly would be Mei.

14 Sombra Isn’t Exactly A Princess…

We’re not sure why someone thought of this, but they did and it’s here now. Certainly, they had to have a sense of humor. Yzma certainly is a schemer, doing anything it takes to get the throne, but Sombra has much of the same keen senses needed to manipulate things to her benefit.

If only Yzma could have found a hack to turn people into llamas, she probably wouldn’t have needed to rely on Kronk so much and that story would have turned out very differently.

There are two very big differences between Sombra and Yzma, however, and that’s the reason they like being in control of situations. Yzma wants to be in power for the sake of it and only partially because she’s sick of Kuzko’s lack of ability. Her craving for power is more of a selfish thing. Sombra became addicted to hacking after she realized the power it granted her; with the knowledge she gained, she could do almost anything she wanted. However, she originally did this to stop a corrupted government from leaving behind some of its most neglected citizens. These two are clearly very different from one another. And in Sombra’s case, her mistakes cost her very dearly, as she had to erase all traces of her identity to become the hacker she is now.

13 Sombra And Widowmaker As Togruta And Twi’leks!

We would have never imagined this, but Sombra and Widowmaker as Star Wars characters is a little too perfect. We love how the artist chose these two for different Star Wars alien races; Widowmaker in particular looks a little agitated that they drew her at all. Fun fact: most Togruta Jedi were female!

We’re not so sure that either of these lovely ladies would want to join up with the Jedi forces, as the Sith may just suit them better.

Sombra has a few things in common with the Togruta. Their culture is very centered on survival of the fittest and a thirst for fighting. Sombra isn’t exactly a fighter, but she does enjoy her hacking to the point that she’d probably be one with it much like the Togruta are with their homelands and the Force. The Twi’leks are a little different than the Togruta. While we see them a lot in the movies, shows and comics, not a lot is known about them culturally the way the Togruta’s are. They’re very active in each of the wars and are extremely influential, but we don’t get to know much about them other than the individual characters we know; secretive, much like Widowmaker.

12 A Very Tangled Tracer

Of course, a Tangled version of Tracer would be all too cute, but hopefully she doesn’t trip on her long hair. Rapunzel and Lena have that same joyous attitude, as all the other Tracer characters seem to have, but part of this crossover seems just a bit impractical. The long hair is already wrapping around her legs, so how on earth would she be able to run at the speed of light? This is like when you leave your shoelaces untied and think everything will be alright because you can always fix it later, before you fall on your face.

Still, this art is incredibly detailed and the artist clearly put a lot of work and effort into it. With that determination in her eyes, we can only hope that Flynn isn’t the one she’s pointing those guns at! Certainly, it would be an upgrade from her usual frying pan, but that couldn’t possibly be a good thing for him. There’s a lot of fun we could see Rapunzel having as Tracer, especially since she could go back in time. It’s not always a wise choice, so we can only wonder, given her impulsive personality, what she’d do if she were given the opportunity that Tracer has.

11 This Is Not Someone I’d Want To Mess With

Not only is a Kida/Zenyatta cool, but the references to her movie are really stunning. The past kings that float around her head are really cool, particularly because they float around the very Heart of Atlantis, which Kida herself became. Of course, Zenyatta is a little less rambunctious than Kida. The princess would do anything, at any cost, to help her people. She’s much more excitable than the Omnic monk, who’s usually very relaxed in nature, and yet there is a strand of similarities between the two.

Kida has a love for Atlantis’ lost culture and also desires change for her home. Despite these two ideals seeming somewhat conflicted, there’s a sense of stillness in Atlantis when we’re first introduced to it; nothing really ever changes, and now the people are suffering because of it. Zenyatta is not unlike Kida in this way. He too wants to see a change in the way his world works. Through the monastery’s teachings, he takes the lessons of how people forming relationships with one another can change the way we view the world. As a now independent monk, he travels in hopes to help create those relationships. Both of them will act on what they believe is best, which makes this crossover even better.

10 Reaper Is The New Rider

Reaper, of course, needs to be a cool character if he’s going to be in the Marvel Universe and Ghost Rider is just too good a fit. His costume melds perfectly with Ghost Rider’s usual outfit and we can only imagine what Reaper’s version of the ever popular motorcycle would be. If we know Reyes, it’s going to be something. Of course, Reyes and Blaze are two very different people, so this crossover seems to be purely about the look of Reaper’s outfit fitting as Ghost Rider.

It’s because of the skull, isn’t it?

The only thing these two could possibly have in common is the fact that their human bodies can change. Blaze’s is consumed by hellfire when he becomes Ghost Rider and Reyes often uses his ability to get rid of his physical form to his advantage; he has to be really good at hide and seek if we’re being honest here. But we know that Blaze does this for a reason, originally to save his father’s life, whereas we don’t know why Reaper does what he does. All we know is that he is now a mercenary who has a lot of power.

9 Orisa Is The Lion Queen

Orisa is the lion queen, just look at that noble pose! We really like the touch of red leaves to give her Simba’s beautiful mane. This crossover is really interesting because these two characters actually do have some pretty striking similarities with their storylines. The only difference and, perhaps the biggest one, is that Orisa is a robot and Simba is a lion. And, no, the similarities aren’t that they both just so happen to live in Africa.

Orisa just can’t wait to be queen!

Orisa is a whole new kind of robot, which makes her very inexperienced. She was created out of an old defense robot, the OR15, by Efi. The child genius believed that there could be a new kind of protector for those living in Numbani, which led her to make Orisa. Simba wants to protect his pride and comes back as an almost completely new lion, ready to challenge his uncle and create a better place. Both Orisa and Simba want peace. Just how Simba started out with his inexperience, we think Orisa will grow to be a great leader and hero like Efi wanted! And although the peace Orisa wanted is between humans and Omnics, we highly doubt Simba wants the hyenas living in the pride ever again.

8 The Captain Marvel We Needed

Of course, we always will need a Captain Marvel, but Zarya as her is a dream come true. Zarya is one an important character that puts everyone else before herself; something Captain Marvel would most certainly do. Zarya was known for her strength and recruited to the fight because of it. She wanted, more than anything, to keep her home safe and was more than happy to be a lending hand in that battle. Since then she was known as the world’s strongest woman, a name that doesn’t just go to anyone.

When her village was under attack, Zarya gave up everything she’d been working for to go home and enlist. She wanted to be there and to help however she could. For her, this was the real reason behind all of the training and work. This was an act of love that she was committed to seeing through. To see her as Captain Marvel is really cool. Even though Zarya doesn’t have any super powers like the Captain, she still has the same kind of compassion that makes her a true hero, one that a lot of people both in her world and ours look up to.

7 An Overwatch Star Wars Poster!

Who doesn’t want an Overwatch poster that’s designed as a Star Wars poster?;o Everyone should go print this out and hang it in their room because it is seriously something fierce. While this isn’t just one character or even character renditions in general, it was way too cool to leave off this list. When you think about it, Star Wars and Overwatch do have a lot of things in common. A war that’s left a lot of destruction in its path, people that don’t get along, people that do get along and want to save the world… Maybe Blizzard just really likes Star Wars?

The poster is really dramatic, but considering the nature of the game that’s not such a bad thing. Overwatch does have a lot of really bold and dark themes in it. It’s not too hard to see who would be the Jedi and who would be the Sith in this situation. We did, after all, put Reyes on this list for being a Sith. The only thing we wish we could see is what everyone’s weapons would look like over in a Star Wars setting; we have a feeling Widowmaker would have a purple lightsaber.

6 Captain America And Soldier 76; What’s The Difference?

Perhaps another obvious one, but not one we’re going to skip! Solider 76 as Captain America; is there really even a difference? Steve has been a bit of an edgy guy since Civil War, so we could kind of see him becoming the guy Jack is today.

These two have more than just their color scheme in common, particularly seeing as both of them are military men who just want to serve and do good.

Steve joined as a smaller than average guy who wasn’t taken very seriously about fighting in the war. However, Howard Stark helped change all of that by advancing him and turning him into Captain America. Jack isn’t that much different since he too was just a simple guy who came from a farm in search of helping however he could. He’d later be a part of the secretive “solider enhancement program” where the military scientists hoped to create the best soldiers for the war. They’re both also technically on the run, which is sort of a nice camaraderie to have across fictional universes right? That’s the price they both were willing to pay in order to see that justice was served.
