The surprisingly decent tag team brawler Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid will be getting a physical edition this year. Slated for release on October 6, 2020, this new package will be coming from Maximum Games for PS4, Xbox One, and Switch. For $30, you’ll be given the base game along with its story mode update, the first pack of free DLC characters, the first DLC season, and the bonus Lauren Shiba character (who has yet to be released).

This won’t be a comprehensive, GOTY styled release, but more something for those looking to have a disc/cartridge. That feels a little bit like a wasted opportunity, but it’s always nice when downloadable games get the chance to live on once servers shut down.

There’s a bit of confusion with some of the messaging behind this release. The trailer claims “Pre-order Now,” but the Maximum Games website doesn’t have a listing up. The company’s Twitter account also claims this package is only coming to PS4 and Xbox One, but then the YouTube description says otherwise.

Whatever is going on, fans of Power Rangers will be able to add a new box to their shelves. I’ve had some fun with this game thanks to Xbox Game Pass and you can’t deny how awesome it is to have all platform crossplay.
