Microsoft and Asobo Studio have announced a sequel to 2019’s A Plague Tale: Innocence. It will come out in 2022 and will be titled A Plague Tale Requiem and will launch on Xbox Game Pass.

“Embark on an emotional and breathtaking journey,” Xbox announced. “Follow Amicia and her brother Hugo on a perilous new quest, doing whatever it takes to survive a brutal, uncaring world.”
A Plague Tale: Innocence was critically acclaimed when it launched in 2019. Earlier this month, the developer announced that the game had sold over a million copies worldwide.
The Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase has been filled with massive announcements, including a look at Battlefield 2042 gameplay and the reveal of Halo Infinite multiplayer going free-to-play. We also saw a very small glimpse of Starfield – which looks like it will take the mechanics of Fallout and Elder Scrolls and bring us into outer space.
A Plague Tale: Requiem will launch on Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2022, and will be available day one on Xbox Game Pass.
