This month’s Gold Rush has brought minor additions to the Battle Royale mode in Call of Duty Mobile. However, the next big update to come in June will see more substantial changes made to the multiplayer mode. On the CODM subreddit, the May update laid out a roadmap for season 6, addressing the main content to be released over the next month or so.

Along with a slew of events taking place throughout May, the update also hinted that players should be on the lookout for more significant additions on the horizon. Namely, a Battle Royale mode variation to take effect later in the month, along with upcoming map changes that will go live in June.

Class Poltergeist will be coming to Call of Duty Mobile’s Battle Royale mode in late May, following the Gold Rush that has been ongoing since the beginning of the month. There’s no specific date set, but if the Class Poltergeist is taking the reins from these gold-plated additions, it can be assumed Class Poltergiest will go live somewhere around May 21st as the Gold Rush wraps up.

Battle Royale Map Changes

New variants in the Battle Royale mode aren’t the only changes to look forward to. May’s update also teased some ‘substantial changes.’ Based upon the photo provided, it looks like players can expect an expansion to the Isolated Map.

In the northernmost region of the map, there are seven new locations marked as w.i.p, or “work in progress.” These markers are situated just above the Nuclear Plant and Standoff, but unfortunately, there is no indication of what these new locations may turn out to be.

In the past, the developers have teased new map locations just prior to when the areas were activated in-game. However, the Call of Duty Mobile subreddit indicates this map expansion won’t take effect until the game’s next major update in June.

Call of Duty Mobile has garnered immense popularity by combining timeless maps and other content from the franchise’s previous PC and console titles. While June is still a little ways off, fans of the series will most assuredly continue to raise hype, building up the anticipation for this newest map expansion until it drops in-game.
