One of the most exciting announcements of Saturday’s Guerrilla Collective is the reveal of action RPG Almighty: Kill Your Gods. Runwild Entertainment and Versus Evil dropped what it’s calling Almighty: Kill Your Gods’ “All Audiences” reveal trailer, which offers a hint at just what’s in store for players. Needless to say, a game that encourages players to hunt demands and gods has lofty aspirations.
To start, Almighty: Kill Your Gods is a third-person action RPG that can be played both singe-player and via online co-op. The premise of the game is that players need to hunt monsters, demons, and gods to protect their homeland and to build the strength necessary to continue as a protector. The challenge of that becomes more apparent when the gigantic size of these enemies is clear.
A robust crafting system will also be available in Almighty: Kill Your Gods. Not only will players kit out their own character, but they’ll be tasked with building up their own Home Island. A short clip in the trailer shows the player adding an extra floor to their Tower of Power, as an example.
Almighty: Kill Your Gods will be the first game for developer Runwild Games, though the team has previously worked together on different projects. Both Cirkits: Toy Robot Racing and Pooka: Magic and Mischief for mobile devices preceded Almighty. Clearly, Almighty will be a much more ambitious project. The team at Runwild will hopefully knock it out of the park.
Almighty: Kill Your Gods releases fall 2020 on PC.
