Always Be Closing is finally returning to Apex Legends.

The game mode was first released during season 3. Skipping past season 4, Always Be Closing will be made available to play starting from August 11 and ending on August 18. However, there will be slight twists compared to the first release of the event.

In a standard game of Apex Legends, the ring moves in intervals after a set amount of time, or if a certain threshold of players is still remaining. This all changes in Always Be Closing, where the ring is constantly squeezing them in without any pauses.

Unlike the first release of Always Be Closing, there will be slight changes in addition to this mode. In the tweet announcing the re-release of Always be Closing, it was revealed that players won’t be dropping in empty-handed. Instead, all players will be dropping with starting equipment - an Evo-shield and a Mozambique.

The first release of “Always Be Closing” dropped during the “Grand Soirée Arcade Event,” which featured a variety of new skins and a rotating playlist. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like there will be any sort of special event accompanying the mode’s return. In actuality, it seems that Always Be Closing is meant to keep players busy while Respawn is prepping the release of Season 6.

Due to the event having a short shelf life of one week, players that didn’t get to experience the original release of “Always Be Closing” should try the game mode at least once before it goes away. It provides players with a new way to experience Apex Legends, which could get stale over long periods of time without new content.
