Conspiracy, intrigue, mysterious assassinations, and an imposter to the throne–these are the things that await you in Re:Zero – The Prophecy of the Throne, the upcoming visual novel from developer Spike Chunsoft. This is the second Re:Zero game to be released on consoles and the first one ever to be released outside of Japan. It’ll even have English voice actors and subtitles (but you can still listen in the original Japanese if you prefer).
Originally announced for the PS4 later in 2020, it now seems that The Prophecy of the Throne is also going to be coming out on the Nintendo Switch. A fine choice, given how the Switch’s mobility makes it the ideal platform for visual novel games. It’s practically like reading a book already.
