Ah well, what can you do? Welcome to Crucible, yet another hero shooter that tries to do things just a bit differently.
To be fair, Crucible certainly has some pretty looks and it does indeed try to mix up this tired genre with some interesting new mechanics. Crucible is equal parts PvP and PvE, with a menagerie of heroes to choose from including humans, aliens, robots, and a cat.
The competition, in this case, is entirely cosmetic. Crucible doesn’t have any pay-to-win mechanics that we know of.
Let’s go over these Founder’s Packs and see what’s inside.
Tracker Founder’s Pack - $14.99
Within the Tracker Founder’s Pack you will find quite a few goodies. First, we have the epic Captain Mendoza skin (who is the soldier-lookin’ guy that many FPS fans will naturally gravitate towards), an exclusive skin that will only be handed out to Founder’s Pack owners. There’s also 500 in-game credits, the Pre-Season Battle Pass, and 100 battle stars to unlock 10 levels of rewards just as soon as you click the purchase button.
Predator Founder’s Pack - $24.99
Do you like Captain Mendoza? Great, ‘cause that skin is still first in the goodie back with the Predator Founder’s Pack. Now you get 1000 in-game credits, the Pre-Season Battle Pass, and 200 battle stars to unlock 20 levels of that battle pass. You also get a special key to unlock any one legendary skin for any character you want.
Alpha Hunter Founder’s Pack - $49.99
The creme de la creme still starts with Captain Mendoza’s epic skin but throws in a whopping 6,000 in-game credits to do with as you please. You also get the Pre-Season Battle Pass, 400 battle stars for 40 unlocked levels, and that same special key for any legendary skin your heart desires.
Crucible is available on Steam for free, but you can always spend money if you want.
