For gamers everywhere, it has been a great year so far with the release of many anticipated 2020 games and a glimpse of what’s to come in the next generation of consoles. Until the rest of those blockbusters arrive, however, there are plenty of other games waiting to be picked up and discovered online. One of these titles in particular is Among Trees created by FJRD Interactive which is now in early access.
Among Trees is a single-player exploration game set within a lush forest. Developed by the FJRD Interactive indie studio in Sweden, the aim is bringing nature to life with rich details and environments. Starting today, the game can be previewed by purchasing it through the Epic Games Store.
As shown during the Among Trees’ PC Gaming Show 2020 trailer, players have many choices in exploring a world of vibrant colors and wonders. They can harvest trees or other resources to build and expand their cabin home while unlocking other activities. For example, a greenhouse can be created to plant and grow vegetables for food. Alternatively, fish can be caught by casting a pole into any lake. But while out in the wild, players also need to keep an eye out for aggressive beasts such as a grizzly bear which briefly passes by in the preview. Thankfully, there is a ZEN mode that completely removes the wild animals for those who don’t want to be disturbed.
While early access and presumably the official release on the Epic Games Store will cost $19.99, the price will be lowered to $13.99 from now until June 20th. Anyone interested should consider taking a look at Among Trees and other deals including the currently free ARK: Survival Evolved.
