Among Us update 2021.5.10 is out, and it has some big features for mobile players. You can now start streaming directly to Twitch from your phone and you can send and receive game invitations via Discord to both PC and mobile platforms.
We’ll start with Twitch since it’s a bit easier to explain. All you need to do is link your Among Us and Twitch accounts and then press the “Start Streaming on Twitch” button in the game settings. That’s it. That’s all you gotta do. Well, there are a few sliders to adjust things like your microphone volume and whatnot, but otherwise, you’re just streaming games on Twitch like it’s nothing.
Discord integration is only the tiniest bit trickier. As with Twitch, you gotta link your Discord and Among Us accounts. Note that you can only send and receive invitations if you’re using a non-minor account on Discord. After your accounts are linked, you’ll be able to send and receive room codes via Discord messages to both mobile and PC.
It wouldn’t be an update without at least a few more bugs squashed. The bizarre pink polygon bug on Android devices seems to be gone, although developer Innersloth wants you to give ’em a shout if you still see something weird. Skins not appearing from the Airship bundle should be visible now, and region text on the opening screen should be something other than North America for European, Asian, and Oceanic players.
Oh, and for iOS users, you shouldn’t need to sign in every time the game opens. A significant QOL upgrade there.
Although Among Us has pretty much reached saturation on PC and mobile, Innersloth isn’t done expanding their hit back-stabbing game. Among Us plans to release on the PlayStation Network later this year, and is already teasing a cute Ratchet and Clank costume to celebrate its impending arrival. It’s also getting a physical release from Limited Run Games, which includes a big red button that makes the actual Emergency Meeting noise from the game.
