Although a lot of Animal Crossing: New Horizons is focused on customizing the player’s entire island on the outside, there’s also a lot for players to do inside their house. Each time the player pays Tom Nook back on their home loan, he offers to expand the house until finally, there are a total of six rooms in the house.

With six rooms to decorate, players have to get pretty creative on what to do with all of them. It’s easy to think of some of the more basic rooms like a kitchen, a living room, and a bathroom, but players have to really stretch their creative muscles to fill the others. Luckily, there’s a ton of furniture and several DIYs in the game that are perfect for creating the most amazing arcade room in one of those rooms and some players have done really well creating theirs.

10 Complete With A Prize Wall

This arcade is one that features the most essential part of the arcade: the prize wall.

Although the arcade machines in Animal Crossing: New Horizons are simply decorative and not actually interactive, so they won’t give any real tickets for players to exchange for prizes, having a wall with items hanging on it that look like prizes is definitely a fun touch.

9 A Super Neon Arcade

There are a ton of bright, neon items in the game. From the diner signs, the soft serve lamp, and the neon palm tree lamp, there are quite a few items that can be used to decorate an arcade to the fullest with tons of bright lights and colors.

Although the arcade games are a central part of building a good arcade room, this player shows that using all those colorful neon pieces of furniture will really make it feel like a real arcade.

8 Snacks And Games

This player’s arcade is one that is fully decked out with everything that a visitor to this island might need to have a good time. From a ton of different arcade games and pinball machines to snack machines and billiards tables, this arcade room has got it all.

This player even added in a pair of diner counter tables and a coconut drink to make this arcade feel more like a barcade. Visitors and villagers of this island will definitely have a good time in here.

7 A Futuristic Cafe & Arcade

For people that don’t want to go all-out with their neon arcade, something a little more modern and toned down like what this player built is perfect. They used some super 90s-inspired custom flooring but kept it balanced out by using a dark wood wall.

Although they have a neon light, some pinball games, and computers in their cafe and arcade, it’s not so full of bright, flashing furniture items that it’s overwhelming.

6 What A Selection

This person’s arcade is slightly more simple because they have a limited selection of items, but they’ve definitely got a wide selection of different games that can be enjoyed by anyone who wants to hang out in this arcade room.

The super sci-fi inspired flooring and wallpaper make the whole place look like it was taken straight from a super futuristic movie. The arcade room is filled with a pinball machine, dart throwing game, billiards table, and more.

5 A Pro Gaming Lounge

This arcade room is one that’s a little different from the others. Instead of simply having games and snacks for visitors, this room is set up to look like an e-sports tournament.

It features one of Saharah’s rare moving wallpapers as an audience, two computers where commentators can sit, and a bracket on the blackboard to help track who’s winning and who’s losing in this pro gaming tournament.

4 Totally Retro

Although most arcade rooms that Animal Crossing: New Horizons fans build are fully decked out in the neon colors, this arcade is slightly more toned down and has a more retro feeling to it.

With the wood wallpaper and flooring, this arcade feels like stepping back in time, but in a good way. And the best part is that this arcade room still has all the best games and a popcorn machine in the middle!

3 A 90s Dream Room

This arcade room would definitely be the dream of any kid in the 90s. This room features a ton of the throwback furniture items like the dinosaur screen, the rocket lamp, and the baseball mitt chair and has a huge selection of different pinball machines and an arcade cabinet in the corner.

The race car bed off to the side means that no gamer would ever have to go too far to get a good night’s rest and this player displayed a poster of Zucker on the wall as a tribute to one of the most unique villagers in the game.

2 An Outdoor Arcade

Although having a room inside the house is how many players choose to build their arcades, they don’t all have to go inside.

This player made an arcade outside, but the fact that they used simple panels customized with a totally 90s pattern that matches the one on the floor makes it feel like this area isn’t outside at all. Plus, they used two more simple panels in the back that were customized to look like the prize wall.

1 So Much Color

This player definitely utilized the space in their room to fill it up to the max with so many different arcade cabinets and pinball machines.

Along with the floor lights and the other pieces of furniture that are in the corners accenting this room, this arcade is so bright and colorful and would be so much fun to play a game in with a favorite villager.
