One of the key features of Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the D.I.Y. crafting system where players can learn recipes they can use to create certain furniture items later. Recipes can mainly be collected from other villagers, balloon presents, or as notes in a bottle. But sometimes, players can get recipes from special visitors.

One of these special visitors is Celeste. The younger sister of Blathers, the red owl shows up in the player’s town on a random night and gifts a celestial-themed D.I.Y. recipe for players to use. She has many recipes she can provide, but there are some that are just better than the rest.

10 Capricorn Ornament

One of the main sets of D.I.Y. recipes players may get from Celeste is from the Zodiac furniture series. There are 12 items in this set, one for each of the Zodiac signs. The set is featured prominently in this list as each item has a really interesting design that ties into its sign. The Capricorn Ornament is a statue of a Sea-Goat and the recipe can be given by Celeste from Dec. 22 to Jan. 15. It’s not only a neat design, but it is also the most expensive furniture piece Celeste can give players with its worth set at 22,650 bells. It can be made with three star fragments, two Capricorn fragments, two gold nuggets, and 12 stone.

9 Aries Rocking Chair

Those who started the game back when it was released may have had their first encounter with Celeste result in getting the Aries Rocking Chair recipe as she gives them out from March 21 to April 19. The entire chair is a ram that can be rocked back and forth, but unfortunately can’t be sat on. The item is worth 12,125 bells and costs three star fragments, two Arias fragments, one gold nugget, and five stone to craft. It’s a smaller item as well, so it can fit in amongst the clutter of any room.

8 Libra Scale

Those looking to build a courthouse in their living room should find a good scale to symbolize the law and order establishment. The Libra Scale is as close as it gets. The golden item is the embodiment of the Libra symbol, topped with a sun in the middle. The item can be received from Sept. 23 to Oct. 23.

The item can be sold for 21,750 bells. This could be a good investment as the item only requires three star fragments, two Libra fragments, and two gold nuggets. The item can be a perfect centerpiece to a table.

7 Virgo Harp

There is arguably no instrument in the game that is as well designed as the Virgo Harp, an item that Celeste will give players the recipe for during the Virgo time period of Aug. 23 to Sept. 22. The harp’s edges seem to be in the shape of a maiden, with her body making up a vertical edge of the harp and her hair making up the top part of it. Once crafted, the item can be placed for villagers to play with or be sold for 22,050 bells. The recipe is three star fragments, two Virgo fragments, two gold nuggets, and four stone.

6 Cancer Table

For those that may like a matching table for their Libra Scale, they could go with a golden theme by putting it on a Cancer Table. The table is designed to look like a crab is holding up the table since crabs/crustaceans are the symbols of Cancer. This recipe for this item can be obtained from Celeste from June 22 and July 22. The item can be sold for 21,975 bells. The recipe requires the player to get three star fragments, two Cancer fragments, two gold nuggets, and three pieces of stone.

5 Taurus Bathtub

It is fitting how the best item in the Zodiac series is both the coolest but also the strangest. The Taurus Bathtub is in the shape of a bull with its backed caved in to make it look like a place for players to bathe in. Of course, players can’t actually bathe in the tub but it would make a cool item to add to a bathroom. The recipe is given out from April 20 to May 20 and can be sold for 12,350 bells. The recipe asks the player to use three star fragments, two Taurus fragments, one gold nugget, and eight stone.

4 Crescent-Moon Chair

Moving away from the Zodiac series, Celeste has recipes for other furniture series with items that range across the astronomical spectrum. One smaller set is the Star series which includes a Crescent-Moon Chair. Unlike the Zodiac series items, the recipe for this chair can be given at any time by Celeste.

The item is also customizable, with players able to choose between yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, green, and white. The price is 8,500 bells and it requires players to use seven star fragments and one large star fragment.

3 Flying Saucer

There are long-standing staples of the Animal Crossing franchise when it comes to furniture. One of these popular items is the Flying Saucer where, for the first time, it is not sold in the main store. Instead, Celeste will randomly give players the recipe one night to craft the interactive item. Players need 15 star fragments and 10 iron nuggets. Players can sell the item for 15,000 bells, but it is also a cool display in any home. Interacting with the object allows players to see a tiny alien being sucked into the ship.

2 Lunar Lander

Another item that has been in the series since the very beginning is the Lunar Lander and, just like with the Flying Saucer, it has gone from being sold in the store to being craftable instead. The item has been downscaled a bit since its iterations in previous games, but it still has a cool look that’s reminiscent of the vehicle used back in the late 1960s/early 1970s. Once Celeste gives the player its recipe, all they need is 10 star fragments and 15 iron nuggets to craft the item. The item can be sold for 16,250 bells.

1 Galaxy Flooring

One of the most interesting stylistic choices Nintendo made with Animal Crossing: New Horizons is adding a ton of depth to the wallpaper and carpets players can use in their home. It allows players to be more immersed in their design, and there is no better example of that than the Galaxy Flooring. A random recipe Celeste gives players, it only requires five star fragments and one large star fragment. The floor makes it feel like players are standing amongst the stars. Moving the camera will give the illusion of a deeper world underneath them. It can be sold for 7,500 bells.
