Celeste has been around since Animal Crossing: Wild World and has become a fan-favorite among the Animal Crossing NPCs. She is Blathers’ little sister, and while he is into all kinds of sciences, her specialized interest is in the stars.

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, she sometimes appears on player islands to go stargazing. She will also give the player DIYs that utilize star pieces that can appear the next day if they wish on stars. Celeste has attracted a large fan following, and they’ve furnished no shortage of fantastic fan art of her. We’re checking out some of the best of it.

10 Studying

A lot of detail went into this fan art by Hong Kong-based artist ZtheSOI. It gives off a cozy feeling with the warm drink, the desk light, and the room full of books.

Blathers is even in the background, seeming to be moving a ton of books from one place to the other. And of course, there are constellations on the ceiling. As seen from this list, most Celeste fan art includes constellations, and understandably so.

9 Telescope

It would be really cute in New Horizons if players could find Celeste lying on the ground like this, but she just wanders around to stargaze.

This fan art, done by heydarlahey, has Celeste with a telescope at her side. There are stars in her eyes, which is something that actually happens sometimes in the game while she stargazes. The objects around her are fallen stars that the player can collect to make her DIYs in-game.

8 Stamp

The artist, hwainio, had the creative idea to make not just Celeste fan art, but to do it in the framing of a stamp. They even added how many bells the stamp would cost in the game! It makes for a lovely in-universe touch.

As usual, there are star fragments on the ground in this art. The flowers appear to be white windflowers, which are a common variety found in the game.

7 Seashore

Star fragments do not just fall anywhere on the players’ island. The day after they wish on stars, they need to search the shorelines of their island to find the star pieces. Some fans find the pieces to be pretty on their own and use them to decorate their island.

The artist for this piece, eggkitart, did not only the typical yellow star fragments but also added a blue one, which typically signifies that it is a rarer large fragment.

6 Gazing

This Celeste fan art, made by acornfriend, appears to be of Celeste walking along the shoreline. This one has no star fragments, but it has the iconic starry eyes she gets when she sees the shooting stars.

The artist did a great job of capturing the surreal feeling of nighttime, with the lights of homes distant and dim in the background. The purple and dark blue hues of the sky are also gorgeous.

5 Reflection

This time Celeste seems to be standing next to a big, still body of water, like a lake or pond. The artist, qvarr, did an excellent job making the body of water look as though it is a second sky with stars shining within the reflection.

We also get two different angles of Celeste, one in which she is looking up at the viewer, while the reflection in the water makes it seem as if we’re gazing up at the stars alongside her.

4 Little Owl

The artist for this piece, starstray, has a number of Animal Crossing fan art pieces. Other characters they have drawn include the Sable sisters, Portia, Gulliver, Isabelle, and Ruby.

While this Celeste isn’t star-gazing, the artist made sure to decorate her background with stars.

3 Warm Drink

There is no telling how old Celeste really is, but we do know she is Blathers’ little sister. It’s a bit hard to say whether she is drinking hot cocoa or coffee in this fan art. Regardless, it’s definitely a comfortingly warm beverage.

The artist, fablefire, wrote “‪I have had zero meteor showers or shooting stars. I am paying tribute, so the star owl will bless my skies.‬” This does reflect an issue a lot of players have concerning the rarity of Celeste’s visits.

2 With Timmy And Tommy

Timmy and Tommy are identical little raccoons that work as apprentices under Tom Nook. While they aren’t blood-related, they are a lot like family. In terms of NPCs in the series, Timmy and Tommy appear to be among the youngest.

It would be cute to see Celeste interact with them as a big sister would. Maybe that is what the artist, pixiescout, was thinking when they made this piece.

1 Napping

Celeste, like Blathers, is an owl and thus sleeps in the day and is awake all night. That is why players never really see her until the evening at the earliest. In the New Leaf game, she would actually sleep until 5 PM (much like her brother) while she stayed on the second floor of the museum.

This art was made by rollingrabbit. Their other notable pieces of fan art include characters from My Little Pony, Scooby Doo, The Simpsons, and more.
