Over the years, Animal Crossing has seen a ton of special event items be given out by Nintendo. Some of these event items are loved by fans like the infamous 7-Elven set, and others fall flat. In fact, there is very little mention of some of the strangest event items Nintendo has distributed to players.

Some items even required players to go out to shops like Best Buy to receive the item. These items range from bad furniture to useless designs that no player is likely to use. Below we have ranked the ten worse event rewards that have been given out in the series so far.

10 Fireworks Table

The fireworks table is one of the weirdest furniture designs in the game. It is a wood table with the design of a firework on top of it, and it just looks like a strange flower at best. The table doesn’t really fit in with any other furniture sets, but it is a requirement for getting Shari Pocket Camp.

It’s a bit of a mystery why this was the item they chose to make to represent a firework.

9 Election Poster

It’s a known fact that video games are a great escape from the real world. In 2009 though, American players were surprised when they woke up to find a letter with an election poster inside. The poster depicts Tortimer, who is likely the only candidate running for Mayor at the time.

The Poster is worth a whopping total of four bells and just a bit cringy.

8 Mayors Flag

The Mayor’s Flag is another item that players weren’t all that thrilled to receive. The flag was the item given out during the flag day event in 2009. It is an up-close picture of Tortimers face that looks more like a Halloween mask than an Animal Crossing character.

Many players wanted Wendell to take the flag back right away, and exchange it for literally any other item.

7 Dump Model

The model sets where a cool addition to the original game, but some models are a bit lackluster. One of the models that players don’t really seem to be fond of is the dump model. This model does perfectly represents the town dump, but it’s a bit boring and ugly.

This model was traditionally given out on the first of May.

6 Nintendo DSi

Gamers aren’t sure why the DSi of all Nintendo console was made into a couch. In fact, the whole console furniture set is a bit appalling to look at. The four supports sticking out of the DSi just don’t look right, players don’t see why this couldn’t have just been the console itself.

Hopefully, we won’t see this treatment happen to the Nintendo Switch.

5 Hopscotch Flooring

While it’s a nice idea, in theory, having a giant hopscotch in the middle of your floor is a bit strange. This item may have worked better as a rug or a piece together design. Instead, players are stuck with a rare wallpaper that takes up to much room to make a playground design.

This was another one of the items released in 2009.

4 Jingle TV

The Jingle TV is a strange item that kind of looks like it could have come from a garden gnome set. The TV even has garland instead of buttons, which looks a bit strange. It’s sad to see that the extra item from the Jingle set is lackluster as it’s a fantastic furniture group.

Hopefully, the TV will be upgraded for the Christmas event that is likely to happen in New Horizons.

3 Dog Models

There are tons of questions floating around about how animals work in the animal crossing world. The addition of the puppy models from Nintendogs only helps to confuse players. Not only that, but how do you fit these models into your house without it being weird.

Luckily, no neighbors display these strange statues in their homes.

2 Fedora Chair

The Fedora Chair is the worst chair in the game. It was randomly sent out to players over the course of several games and just doesn’t fit in. Why would players need a giant fedora in their home and what theme could have Nintendo possibly thought this may have fit with.

Players are now hoping that Nintendo doesn’t decide to make a whole Fedora series.

1 Wobbling Zipper Toy

The Wobbling Zipper Toy is the worst event item ever given out for several reasons. For starters, the majority of the egg day event was a nightmare, and players think that Zipper T. Bunny is just plain creepy. In fact, the event doesn’t seem to be missed by the game’s community at all.

It only added salt to the wound when one of the final items turned out to be a toy of Zipper himself.
