If you have any gamer friends who still aren’t sold on the Animal Crossing experience, here’s just the ammo you need to convince them: Danny DeVito Island is an actual thing that exists.
As absurdly popular as Animal Crossing: New Horizons has proven to be (it’s now Japan’s best-selling Switch title ever), the fact remains that this is a franchise you either click with or you don’t. It’s a slow-paced, super chill gaming experience, aimless by its very nature. Quite a tonic in these stressful times, yes, but if you’re looking for intense, competitive gameplay divided into conventional levels or matches, you’re clearly way off course here.
That familiar question keeps cropping up: what do you do in Animal Crossing? Really, that’s down to the player. Collecting furniture, fishing, making elaborate flower arrangements and harvesting fruit from your trees are just some of the activities fans concern themselves with.
Now, though, thanks to the deep customization options added by the new terraforming and waterscaping tools, we can add another to the list: slowly and painstakingly designing your island into a likeness of Danny DeVito.
As Go Nintendo reports, this masterpiece is the work of Reddit user B4SSOON. We can now officially declare every other island obsolete as B4SSOON has won the game. We don’t know how long this noble work took, but one thing’s for sure: it’s a fantastic likeness that the diminutive acting icon himself can be proud of.
