If Dragon Ball Z’s Yamcha is known for one thing, it’s getting his butt kicked. This is something that Animal Crossing: New Horizons fans haven’t forgotten, as they’ve been heading to the game to recreate the DBZ character in one of his most recognizable poses.
Although this might seem completely random, Yamcha and New Horizons actually have something significant in common. Yamcha’s birthday is March 20, which is the same date that the latest Animal Crossing was released. Fans of the game certainly took notice, and decided to pay homage to the ill-fated character.
Long time Dragon Ball fans will remember that Yamcha wasn’t always known for getting smashed into the ground. In the original series, the character was one of earth’s strongest fighters and a main protagonist of the show alongside kid Goku. Once Dragon Ball Z rolled around though, and the villains became more and more powerful, Yamcha quickly fell off the radar.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ custom image mode has been used by many players to bring unique images into the game’s clothing and homes, such as characters from other tv shows like Yamcha. Given that it’s only been out for just over a week, we’re excited to see what else the community can come up with.
