Jobs may be scarce right now, but enterprising Animal Crossing: New Horizon players have discovered a brand new way to earn money: maintaining other players’ islands.

Yes, players of Nintendo’s newest Animal Crossing game have discovered that other, presumably richer, players don’t always have the time to visit their island every day and cut all the weeds, pick all the fruit, water all the flowers, and generally just make sure that their own personal paradise doesn’t devolve into an overgrown ruin.

The services, which appear to be mostly offered by overseas, offer to take care of your game for between ¥60 to ¥500.

The news of these services was first brought to light by Twitter user

Daniel Ahmad. Ahmad , a senior analyst at Asia games market intelligence firm Niko Partners, found Chinese job postings and posted screenshots online.

The services are apparently only being offered to other Chinese players, and offer package discounts for anyone who wants their newfound digital servants to do all the maintenance, in stead of just specific tasks.

It’s unclear how exactly the services will be provided – whether players will have to give up their account information, or whether players are supposed to physically hand over their consoles to give their employee the chance to work.

It’s also unclear why, exactly, someone would buy an Animal Crossing game even though they have no desire to actually take part in most of the activities the game has to offer. If day-to-day busywork is something that strikes you as a waste of time, then perhaps a game that focuses on this busywork isn’t the right experience for you.

Nonetheless, there’s apparently a market out there for Animal Crossing housekeepers, perhaps among those who enjoy the experience but can’t make the time to play it every day. And who am I to argue with the quirks of the international market – especially if it means that more people are able to make a living playing video games?
