In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the player moves onto a deserted island and becomes a friendly neighbor to various animal villagers. With enough patience and creativity, the deserted island can expand and flourish into a true dream vacation. Needless to say, it’s a very wholesome and adorable game to play.

And as an adorable game that thrives on the creative minds of the players, New Horizon has naturally garnered plenty of cute fan art of the island and all its inhabitants.

10 The Roost By @Magaliedib

Fans of previous games in the Animal Crossing franchise are more than familiar with The Roost, the coffee shop with the spiffy pigeon barista named Brewster. Though The Roost has yet to join New Horizons, it is very possible that Brewster’s business will be joining the island in a future update.

In the meantime, @magaliedib drew the cozy coffee shop with Lily as a worker, Beau as the happy customer, and Brewster in the back.

9 Beachy K.K. By @Celesse

A fan-favorite Animal Crossing character is K.K. Slider, the white dog with the guitar. While he is not an official villager like most of the animals, K.K. Slider is in charge of all music production and performances on the island.

As the chillest musician in town, K.K. can easily be pictured resting with his guitar in a hammock on the beach. Of course, he wouldn’t be the same without his signature crossed-legged pose, as recognized by @celesse.

8 Bringing The Console To Life By @New-purrizons

Because Animal Crossing is known for its adorable aesthetic and design, there was a special edition of the Nintendo Switch console that came with the release of New Horizons. This Switch not only comes in cute pastel colors but also features Tom Nook and the twins on the dock.

In this fan art by @new-purrizons, the player literally pops out of the Switch screen as Felicity asks her if she wants to grab some coffee together.

7 Mystical River By @Blakekathryn

Across the Animal Crossing games, rivers have always played a role in the aesthetic and economic aspects of the town. Primarily, villagers can either take a scenic walk along the river or go fishing for some rare and valuable catches.

As seen in this amazing 3D fan art by @blakekathryn, the river can be a beautiful money-making machine. While one of the raccoon twins fishes for a big catch, Tom Nook shows off his earnings in a not-so-subtle boat ride down the river.

6 The Hardworking Isabelle By @Zeldoodles

In her Animal Crossing debut, Isabelle was the peppy and hardworking assistant of the mayor. Since then, she’s played similar roles in provided support and resources for the player. If anyone was going to be eager about getting back to work in New Horizons, it would be her.

To bring positivity into the workplace, @zeldoodles drew a cute Isabelle all ready to work in her Nook Inc. uniform. Her enthusiasm for work is truly admirable.

5 Froggy Chair By @celesse

There seems to be an endless amount of décor items to collect and furnish your home with, but one specific item that stands out from the rest is the iconic Froggy Chair. Although the green chair is very simple with a frog design, there’s something charming about it.

And after gaming even more popularity as an internet meme, the Froggy Chair has also found itself at the center of a cute fan art by @celesse. Even without any character in the picture, the Froggy Chair represents the franchise well.

4 Daisy Mae By @Hamst3rificart

In past Animal Crossing games, Joan, an infamous boar with turnips would show up in town to sell her crops to the player for profit. However, in New Horizons, Join is replaced by another boar named Daisy Mae.

In contrast to Joan, Daisy Mae is much more youthful and has a very distinct runny nose that is as innocent as it is unsanitary. Artist @Hamst3rificart shines the spotlight on the new turnip seller in this adorable fan art.

3 Island Birthday Party By @ashkerins

As a life simulation game, Animal Crossing makes it a point to celebrate birthdays all year round. If it is the player’s birthday, they may receive fun surprises from their neighbors. If it’s another villager’s birthday, they may invite the player to their birthday party.

In this wholesome fan art by @ashkerins, the whole town gathers for an exciting outdoor party to celebrate a villager’s birthday. With the likes of Mable, Resse, and Daisy Mae in attendance, it’s bound to be a fun time.

2 At The Airport By @Lunariacrossing

At the very beginning of New Horizons, the player starts at the Nook Inc. counter with Timmy and Tommy preparing them for their long island journey ahead. Once they’re all set, the plane is ready to depart for the island, symbolizing a new beginning for the player’s character.

@lunariacrossing drew the player at the airport, watching from the window as their plane flies into sight. With their adorable Nook-themed backpack and suitcase, the player is ready for their deserted island getaway.

1 Isabelle & The Doomguy By @Marshalluwu

By coincidence, the wholesome New Horizons was released on the same day as the violent first-person shooter, Doom Eternal. Due to the two games’ extreme differences, a crossover could prove to be quite interesting.

To celebrate the release of both games, @marshalluwu drew a heartwarming fan art of a sleeping Isabelle with a Switch in her hands, while the Doomguy has his own controller to play Animal Crossing on the Apple TV.
