June is here and with that a variety of different animals, plants, etc… are available in the wonderful world of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. One aquatic animal in particular has us quite excited and that is the great white shark.

The great white shark will be obtainable from now through September and with it only available at certain periods of the day, players will need to know how to go about catching one. Let’s take a closer look at how to go about catching the great white shark.

As previously stated, the great white shark is only available catch through September. Within that time frame, players can only catch it from between the hours of 4 p.m. to 9 a.m. which is perfect to get some relaxing night fishing in. The great white shark can be found in the ocean which is easily accessible on a given island. Players should look in the deeper parts of the ocean coastline for the great white as well as a fish shadow that has visible fin on top.

Unfortunately for players in the southern hemisphere, the great white shark is only available from December-March so a bit longer wait is necessary for them to come back.

Once caught, players can donate the great white shark to the museum or Nook’s Cranny will take it off your hands for a pretty 15,000 bells. This is a significant sum of money which makes finding the rare shark all the more worth it.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has an abundance of creatures available to catch throughout the seasons. This helps provide an in-depth, continuously rewarding experience for players and an incentive to keep playing the game. Right now, the great white shark is one of those creatures available. Get to catching.
