What’s an Aries Fragment in New Horizons and how can you get them? Read on to find out.
By now, you should know that you can wish on meteor showers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. You don’t necessarily get your wish granted, but you do at least get a very specific material whenever you wish on shooting stars.
They’re called Star Fragments, and you can use them for all sorts of DIY recipes, not the least of which is the Magic Wand that lets you change outfits with a flick your wrist. But there are also very specific Star Fragments that fall based on the time of year. Those fragments are called Zodiac Star Fragments.
Zodiac Star Fragments are obtained in the same way as regular fragments. After you spot a shooting star (also known as a meteorite), use your right control stick to tilt your camera up so that the shooting star is centered, then hit A. If you’re successful, the shooting star will flash brighter, your avatar will perform a brief prayer, and you’ll hear a “ping” sound. The next morning, search the beach for your fallen star fragment.
Sometimes those fragments can be Large Fragments, and very rarely they’ll turn out to be Zodiac Star Fragments.
Since Animal Crossing: New Horizons released during the Aries Zodiac Sign, all the Zodiac Star Fragments that have dropped so far have been Aries Fragments. It’s believed that the Zodiac Fragments will follow the Zodiac, which means the next one to drop will be the Taurus Fragment starting on April 20.
Zodiac Fragments can be used to craft special Zodiac furniture items. Aries Fragments are used to craft the Aries Rocking Chair. You’ll first need to talk to Celeste in order to obtain the DIY recipe, and she’ll only hand it out the second time you talk to her. After that, you’ll need 2 Aries Fragments, 3 regular Star Fragments, 1 gold nugget, and 5 stones to craft it.
