One our favorite aspects of Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the various events, animals, plants, etc… that are available only for limited times that correlate to a given season or time of year. Each new event feels like a new experience which only adds to the insane playability of the game. With wedding season underway, players have the opportunity to obtain heart crystals only available during this particular season.
As stated previously, heart crystals can only be obtained during the wedding season which runs through all of June. Players can receive heart crystals from Reese by taking wedding photos. Although, players are only able to receive heart crystals once per day. It isn’t limited to only one heart crystal per day, though. Players receive more heart crystals for the number of furniture they have placed during the photo shoot.
Players who place up to seven items of furniture for a photo shoot during the first six days will receive five heart crystals but after the seventh day will only get four. Those who place 8-11 pieces will receive eight during the first six days and 10 after the seventh. 12-14 pieces of furniture placed will receive nine and then 11 after the seventh while 15-19 pieces of furniture will net players 10 heart crystals and 13 after seven days. 2o pieces of furniture will receive 11 and 13 while 21+ pieces will get 15 after the seventh day.
Players can place any type of furniture during the first six days but will need to adhere to the designated themes after the seventh day or risk losing points for the photo shoot.
Players can use heart crystals to purchase a large variety of wedding-themed furniture, decorations and clothing. Obtaining these wedding season items is a great incentive for players to participate in the event and actually work to obtain as many heart crystals as they can before the end of June.
Wedding season in Animal Crossing: New Horizons will only last until the end of June and with its end, heart crystals will no longer be available for players to obtain. They are fairly easy to get, though, and with an entire month to collect as many as possible, there is no reason not to.
