Here’s what Gullivarrr can give you next time he washes up on your shore in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

You all know Gulliver, the drunken sailor that occasionally washes up on your shore and demands you find his buried communicator. New Horizons doesn’t explicitly state he’s drunk, but c’mon–he’s a sailor that falls out of his boat and needs to call in a pickup. What other reason could there be?

Gilliver is your ticket to the Golden Shovel and Rusty Communicator Parts, and he’ll also give you a present every time you help him out on his weekly visits. But now there’s a new version of Gulliver that’s been added as of July 3rd’s summer update in New Horizons.

His name is Gullivarrr, and as you probably could have guessed, he’s Gulliver’s piratical cousin. He’s just like Gulliver in that he washes up on shore once per week, but he’s got a distinctive pirate theme going. Note the pupils have gone from crosses to Xs since crosses are for the merchant navy but X marks the spot on a pirate treasure map.

Just like Gulliver, Gullivarrr will ask you to find his broken communicator. Only, instead of buried in the sand it’s been lost somewhere at sea. You’ll need to put on your Wet Suit and use the new diving feature to find it.

Gullivarrr will only start showing up once you’ve obtained the new Wet Suit. Just like Gulliver, he’ll only show up once per week on the beach, but he’s his own person and doesn’t count against Gulliver’s weekly visit. Helping out Gullivarrrr won’t count towards the Golden Shovel either, so don’t get your hopes up there either.

What Gullivarrr WILL do is give you Pirate-themed gifts for helping him out. After finding his lost communicator, he’ll give you a present from Gullivarrr’s exclusive Pirate Set. This includes furniture and clothing items that will make your home look like a pirate ship.

The Pirate Set is composed of 19 unique items, including a barrel of grog, helm, ship cannon, treasure chest, pirate wall, pirate flooring, pirate rug (which is really a treasure map), sideways barrel, sea captain’s coat, pirate pants, pirate dress, pirate outfit, pirate-treasure robe, pirate bandana, pirate-treasure crown, pirate’s hat, pirate beard, pirate boots, and of course, an eye patch.

You can get one item per week, so keep an eye out for the drunken pirate!
