Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ Gullivarrr is confusing players, more so now than ever in fact.
Gullivarrr was introduced into the game with New Horizons’ 1.3.0 Summer Update at the beginning of this month. He’s the little seagull pirate guy who you’ll repeatedly find washed up on the shores of your island, fast asleep and mumbling incoherently about licking cookies and whatnot.
His appearance immediately started confusing New Horizons players, seeing as it would appear he is just sailor seagull Gulliver from before the Summer Update, only now he’s donning a red pirate outfit and acting very pirate-y overall. But, why though?
Gulliver’s whole vibe was shrouded in a decent amount of mystery before he adopted this pirate persona, so now members of the New Horizons community are scratching their heads that much more vigorously. They’re also crafting some theories, of course.
