So, there’s a cool item you like in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and you want to give one to your pal - or maybe just want to hoard duplicates to yourself like a weirdo. Normally, we’d just tell you to gather up all the necessary crafting ingredients and make it yourself. But hard work and patience is overrated, right? Sometimes, you want what you want right then, right there.
Well, have we got the guide for you! GameXplain originally detailed this tip in a video, but they’ve since deleted it - for some reason. But fear not, we’ve got everything you need to duplicate items and start becoming the hoarder your mom was always afraid you were!
Buddy Up
First things first! Much like our Nook Stop trick, you’ll need to buddy up with somebody. Whether it’s online or locally, get together with a pal and get on the same island. It’s totally necessary to pull this trick off.
Place Your Item
Next, you’re going to want to take the item you want duplicated and place it. But don’t just place it anywhere - put it on top of a cardboard box, table, desk, or any other piece of furniture that can hold items.
Spin To Win
Get the other player to grab the piece of furniture, while you stand next to them. While they rotate that piece of furniture, grab your item from the piece of furniture and pocket it. If it went right, you’ll have the item in your inventory while it’s still on display. Jackpot!
Mess Around And Get A Triple-Double
From here, do this as many times as you want. Anything you can put up on a table is fair game - including the ridiculously valuable Royal Crown. This is a great method to get rich quick in the game without an insane amount of grinding, and you get to spend time with friends/lovers/hetero life mates. It’s a win-win-win!
