15 Puddles
Puddles has been in every title in the franchise so far. Though many of the frogs within Animal Crossing are a little ugly, or even scary at some points, Puddles is an adorable little pink frog with plenty of positive attitude. Her name, along with her initial catchphrase of “splish,” alludes to her froggy nature.
Puddles’ house is a cute little place with plenty of style and an adorable little cupid bench to sit on. She blasts out K.K. Ballad as her favorite song when at home.
14 Wendy
Wendy first appeared in Animal Crossing: City Folk and has been in every title since.
Wendy is a blue sheep with orange and yellow horns and an orange face and limbs. Her tee of choice is the watermelon shirt, which before New Horizons she wore as a scarf, as all of the sheep NPCs used to. Wendy’s home is neat and tidy and is largely in hues of cream and blue. Her favorite song is K.K. Bossa, which plays from the CD player in her house.
13 Maddie
Maddie is an old-timer when it comes to the series, having appeared in the first few titles before taking a hiatus. She then re-appeared in Happy Home Designer as a limited-time DLC, before joining New Leaf as part of the Welcome Amiibo update.
Maddie is an adorable little brown dog villager whose catchphrase of “yippee” is a clue to her excitable and passionate personality. Her house is set up with a picnic, complete with grass flooring and mountain wallpaper to give the illusion of being outside.
12 Felicity
Felicity first appeared in the Japanese exclusive Animal Forest e+ and didn’t return until City Folk.
Felicity is a cream-colored cat with auburn hair. Her name could allude to the term “Felis,” the scientific genus of many cats. Felicity loves to sing and her catchphrase of “mimimi” is a nod to this, as if she is constantly warming up her vocal cords. The interior of Felicity’s house is similar to Maddie’s in that it is made to look like the outside, as well as including a variety of garden furniture.
11 Audie
Audie was one of the brand new villagers created for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, with many fans believing she is a tribute to the gaming grandma of the same name who hit the news for her love of the game. Audie was also later added to Pocket Camp.
Audie is a colorful wolf villager, with many players believing she is meant to resemble a fox due to her orange coloring and catchphrase of “foxtrot.” Audie gives off plenty of vacation vibes with her sunglasses and Tropical Muumuu tee, and her house matches this bright style with a beachy feel to it.
