It’s time to take the battle on-the-go, as publisher Gameforge and South Korean developer Aprogen Games’ SoulWorker: Anime Legends will be making its way to mobile devices later this month.
In a press release, it was announced that the free-to-play MMORPG - a version of which is already available on PC - will be released on iOS and Android devices via the App Store and Google Play in July, with players being able to jump into the post-apocalyptic universe with all-new battles and encounters, exciting quests, and cel-shaded, anime-inspired cinematic gameplay.
As a standalone title within the SoulWorker universe, in SoulWorker: Anime Legends, players are put in the role of one of six characters (who are known as “SoulWorkers”), and are tasked with putting a stop to the forces of evil in The Great Void - the birthplace of the evil - by transforming their soul into a powerful weapon.
New single-player gameplay will be featured with the mobile release, allowing players’ characters to take on the characteristics of the various classes, including the Soulum Sword class, Mist Scythe class, Gun Jazz class, Spirit Arms, Howling Guitar class, and Hammer Stol class. SoulWorker: Anime Legends will also feature a progression system similar to the PC version, with players being able to explore all new content and areas of the world, while taking part in PvE and PvP action on an open battlefield with battle skills and abilities that can be leveled up; all of which are impacted by the game’s emotion system, which includes Integrity, Revenge, Pleasure, Misery, Madness, and Rage.
“We are excited to invite players to an all-new SoulWorker experience on the go through their mobile devices,” said Gameforge Executive Producer, Botond Nemeth. “As a fully stand-alone title in the franchise with new adventures to embark upon, players can expect new, dynamic gameplay set in the SoulWorker universe that they love plus new and exciting updates after release, so stay tuned!”
No hard release date has been revealed yet, but SoulWorker: Anime Legends will launch later this month in English, French, and German, with more languages planned. Additional post-release content is also already planned for the game.
