Audio for Battlefield 6’s upcoming trailer leaked online just last week. The audio doesn’t really reveal much beyond the fact that Battlefield 6 will feature guns, explosions, and everything else you’d expect to hear from combined arms warfare.

It also had an epic score that sounded a lot like what we got in Battlefield 5, which was produced by the band 2WEI. And now, that same band just announced on Twitter, “Two new game trailers with our music [are] coming this week.”

Industry insiders have been warning of an impending trailer for Battlefield 6. Renowned Battlefield leaker Tom Henderson said that the trailer would have arrived last week had a Chinese rocket not plummeted back to Earth from the upper atmosphere, and reporter Jeff Grubb has also said that EA plans to reveal Battlefield 6 soon. With this latest announcement, it seems all but certain that we’ll get Battlefield’s first trailer later this week.

As for the other game 2WEI mentioned, that’s a much more open question. 2WEI has worked extensively with EA on Battlefield and Apex Legends, but they’ve also worked with Riot on Valorant, Activision on Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and Ubisoft on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, among others. That second trailer could be for literally anything, but we’re fairly confident that one of them is going to be for Battlefield 6.

Besides the leaked audio, screenshots also revealed the epic scale of Battlefield 6 with an image that appeared to show an island invasion of US Marines from V-22 Osprey VTOL aircraft. There was also an image of a rocket launch pad, which might imply that part of Battlefield 6 takes place in space.

We know that Battlefield 6 will be simply called “Battlefield” and take place in a near-future war between the US and Russia. It’ll have a battle royale mode (although it won’t be called Firestorm) and recognizable military equipment along with futuristic drones and robots.

Battlefield is expected to release in Q4 2021.
