Apex Legends is one of the more popular battle royale games that you can play, but some Reddit users have formulated some pretty unpopular opinions about it. They stray from the norm as they point out features of the game that most players actually enjoy. Many are left scratching their heads as to why they feel this way and often come to the conclusion that something must be wrong with them.

These opinions can also change your own perspective as you are given a new perspective. It can be eye-opening for you as the next time you load into an Apex Legends game you wonder if the Reddit user had been on to something all along.

10 Adding Vehicles Or Jetpacks Would Ruin The Game

A lot of fans have stated their desire for other vehicles to be added to the game, as they have in Fortnite, but u/Dutchdolt on Reddit disagrees. He states that it would ruin some of the things that make Apex Legends so unique, as it becomes part of your strategy in choosing a character to use.

If you desire to be more mobile then a Wraith is for you, but if you like Caustic better then you should have to put up with the fact that he is slower and plan accordingly.

9 The Game Isn’t Dying

It is not uncommon to see players talking about how Apex Legends is dying, especially in light of all the new battle royales pouring into the gaming world each year. A Reddit user named u/cohen_dev pointed out that this isn’t the case, rather, some players have just put too many hours into it and are growing bored of the gameplay.

This happens fairly often in any game, but it still doesn’t make it any less popular as these other players uncover the true flaws of Apex Legends.

8 TTK Should Be Increased For People Shooting At Bad Players, And Decreased For Them

Some players know they are bad and understand there is little hope for them to improve at video games as it is just not in their DNA. This is why a Reddit user named u/smacky623 proposed that the TTK (Time to Kill) the bad players should be increased, while the TTK a good player should be decreased.

It would even the playing field, but obviously, this opinion is unpopular as it would be unfair for the good players who deserve to win because of their innate ability to play the game.

7 Solos Would Ruin The Game

Many fans have asked for the developers to add a solo mode, especially for more advanced players with terrible friends. However, u/Phynamite on Reddit disagrees and actually believes it would ruin the game as a whole.

They make the point that each of the characters relies on one another in order to be useful, such as Bangalore’s smoke and Bloodhound’s Beast of the Hunt. No one wants to jump into a solo match where they face all the same character, where they would probably all be a Wraith, but some dream of a world where they don’t have to rely on teammates in order to win.

6 Mirage Is The Best Character

Mirage is pretty useless compared to the other characters in this game, as all he does is send out a bunch of distractions. A practiced eye is able to tell the difference between real and fake mirages, so he becomes pretty useless against better players.

A Reddit user named u/Sneakiest disagrees with this sentiment as they view Mirage as the best out there as they become the ultimate bamboozler.

5 SBMM Makes The Game Better

SBMM (Skill Based Matchmaking) was implemented to make lobbies fair in terms of talent, but most people hate it. They don’t believe it has their best interests at heart, especially when randoms put on their team have no idea what they are doing compared to the rest of a lobby.

This isn’t true of everyone though as a Reddit user named u/dougdemaro views them as beneficial, as they understand that while it may not be fair to everyone, it still is for the majority of players.

4 Unranked Should Have The Same Penalty If You Leave A Match Early

One aspect of the game that players often complain about is that in Ranked you are given a timeout penalty if you leave a game early. It prevents players from quitting the second they die, instead of giving their teammates a chance to revive them and maybe grant them a victory.

A Reddit user named u/TheOnlyKawaiiGoddess believes this same system should be implemented into unranked games. There are a lot of players against this though as unranked is supposed to be more for fun and you should never be penalized for quitting a game that doesn’t count toward any sort of goal.

3 Skins Are Not Overpriced

A Reddit user named u/taurusmo doesn’t believe that the Apex Legends skins are overpriced, despite much of the backlash they have received from their fans. There is some truth in this as you can’t even see your character in-game anyway seeing as it is a first-person shooter.

However, others will argue that dropping $20 for a single character skin is ridiculous especially if you like to play as more than one.

2 Third Partying Isn’t A Problem, It’s Strategic

A big complaint among players is how often third partying seems to happen as you can never survive once more than one team is involved, especially when beginners are involved.

They often state ways to fix it such as making bigger maps or reducing the distance in which noise travels, but a Reddit user named u/Vhozite disagrees. They see it as an intelligent move as it is part of the strategy of the game and it is up to teams to figure out how to stop their opponents from doing this.

1 World’s Edge Is Better Than King’s Canyon

King’s Canyon is the original Apex Legends map, and it is well known that it is by far the most-liked map in the game. This is where a Reddit user named u/Mackelope went against the grain as they stated they would take World’s Edge over King’s Canyon any day.

King’s Canyon has undergone quite a few changes this season, but that is no reason to ditch it and claim the unthinkable that another map might even compare.
