Apex Legends is one of the biggest battle royale games in the world, and it just keeps getting bigger. Every month or so you can expect a brand new Collection Event or challenge, and right now if you log in to Apex Legends you’ll find that the Genesis Collection Event is well underway - and it comes with some brand new balance changes.

The main draw of the Genesis Collection Event - aside from all the cosmetics you’ll need to pay top dollar for - is the fact that the original King’s Canyon map has returned to the game, and in addition to that, the infamous Skulltown has been made into an Arenas map. If you were playing during the first few seasons, all of this will be a little nostalgic.

In this guide we’ll be breaking down all of the Legend and Weapon balance changes introduced in the latest Apex Legends patch, so you know exactly what to expect when you set foot into the battle. All patch notes were sourced from EA’s wesbite.

Legend Balance Updates And Changes

There have been a few balance changes to the Legends - though not too many. These are primarily small changes to alter what was introduced during the Season 9 patch.

Octane

  • Launch Pad cooldown increased from 60 to 90 seconds.

Revenant

  • Hitbox made small on arms, legs, centre torso. Stalker climb height significantly increased - it’s not unlimited, but will scale a majority of buildings in Apex Legends. Silence duration decreased from 20 to 15 seconds. Death Protection duration reduced by 5 seconds.

Lifeline

  • Increased hitbox size across legs and waist - still manages to have the smallest hitboxes of any Legend.

Bloodhound

  • Eye of the Allfather scan reveal time decreased from 4 to 3 seconds. Ouch. Beast of the Hunt duration decreased from 35 to 30 seconds.

Wattson

  • Up to 20 Nessies can be placed in a map at once using Wattson’s Epic emote. No, no actual, real buffs. Still. Could you imagine.
