We are just days away from the beginning of the Apex Legends Global Series, the worldwide tournament that brings the best Apex teams from around the globe to compete for what was once a $1 million prize pool. Only now, Respawn is sweetening the pot with the potential for way more cash.

The new Animal Kingdom bundles that just went on sale yesterday are now going to start funding the Apex Legends Global Series. Buy the whole bundle and $20 from your purchase will go to funding the ALGS prize pool, while each individual character’s bundle will provide $5 for the ALGS.

In case you were wondering what this bundle includes, there’s the Mechameleon skin for Pathfinder, the Boared to Death skin for Fuse, the Wild Speed skin for Octane, and the Silverback skin for Caustic. Each one also includes an Epic Banner Frame and an Epic Gun Charm that fits the whole animal theme.

Apex’s Animal Kingdom bundles will be on sale from now until June 1. The ALGS starts this Saturday with games running up to the finals on June 13.

Respawn’s decision could be a highly lucrative one for its budding esports aspirations. Valve has long used crowdfunding for The International, its annual global Dota 2 tournament, with this year’s record-breaking prize pool cresting over the $40 million mark.

Of course, Dota 2 has significantly more players than Apex Legends, but a somewhat more humble $3 million seems totally achievable based on Apex’s player numbers.

In other news, Apex Legends’ latest patch nerfed the Bocek charge bow and the Spitfire machine gun. For the Bocek Bow, max charge body shot damage went from 70 to 60, charge time was slightly increased, and its ammo reserves were significantly reduced. For the Spitfire, damage and magazine size were both nerfed slightly–not as bad as the Bocek, but still noticeable if you’re a fan of the Spitfire.
