Season 6 of Apex Legends is well underway and brought a large swath of new changes. While balance changes are always appreciated, new cosmetic items and legends are usually far more exciting. Apex Legends recently blessed fans with the new legend Rampart, a modder whose greatest offense is her defense. The heavy weapons expert will make providing covering fire for your squad a blast with a toolkit built to hold down the trigger. Rampart is a breath of fresh air in the Apex Legends meta that will be fun for many players (and a giant annoyance for others).
If you link your EA Origin account with Prime Gaming, you will gain access to a complimentary Rampart skin. We say free, but you do have to pay for the Prime service, so it’s more of an added bonus. The new Rampart skin is part of Prime Gaming and EA’s ongoing promotion, which has gifted various skins and charms to players.
The skin is available as of August 21 and can be accessed on Prime Gaming’s Apex Legends page. All you need to do is log in with your Prime account with an active Prime subscription, and hit the “claim now” button on Rampant’s Custom Finish skin. After that, you may need to link your EA and Prime accounts, before the skin is added to your in-game investory.
If you are thinking about getting this new skin, be sure to act fast before the promotion ends since you won’t be able to claim it afterward. There might also be some slight issues with linking your Prime Gaming account to your EA account; it’s a feature, not a bug, so make sure that the skin appears in your game after you claim it. At the time of writing, there is also a Swimming Budy Pathfinder skin and a Mix Tape gun charm available.
After you’ve claimed the bonus, be sure to keep an eye out for more skins and cosmetic items that become available.
