Since its 2019 release, EA and Respawn Entertainment have been closely working to ensure as seamless an experience as possible with continual patches and updates. While not to everyone’s likings, their updates have been routine, and updates coming with Season 5 include a reconnect feature.

The specifics for this feature can be found among the Ranked Series 4 features, which will allow players to reconnect to matches after losing connections. It is stated that, should players get disconnected from matches due to crashes, bad weather, or other interference, players can later join the match if it is still going on. This is to streamline the system for players to re-enter matches with ease and “keep earning that RP.”

More details will be given in later patch notes, the Ranked Series 4 details state.

Oftentimes, online multiplayer titles have been rather punishing for players who quit out of matches or experience crashes. As such, it’s nice to see that the distinction will be further made in Apex Legends with the reconnect feature that allows players to swiftly rejoin matches that they may have been rather successful in.

Season 5 of Apex Legends will be launching on May 12, so players don’t have too much longer to wait until its arrival. Hopefully, its new features and updates will launch as smoothly as possible.
