Caustic has always been a deadly opponent in Apex Legends, but add in the Trident and this gas-spewing tank becomes a real monster, as this video from Twitter user @last_hoper_u shows.
It’s clearly late in the match given the small size of the circle, but there’s a surprising number of enemies still alive. To help deal with all of them at the same time, our Caustic player hops in a handy Trident after tossing a gas trap on the hood. This turns the Trident into a mobile gas emitter that hits multiple players at once with damage over time while simultaneously shielding Caustic from return fire.
At one point, Caustic has to get out to recharge his shields and heal up, but then it’s right back on the Trident with another gas trap. Opposing players fall one by one until there’s just one Octane player left to meet his end just as the circle fully closes.
Caustic emerges as the only player left thanks to the Trident/gas combo.
If you’re sparkalaphobic or epileptic, be sure to avoid the new Bocek Bow that was recently added in the latest season. The bow’s pulsing yellow glow can apparently cause sufferers to have seizures in the right lighting conditions. Apex devs Respawn Entertainment are aware of the issues and are currently working on a fix, but the danger is still present for now.
