Working on a major project like Apex Legends is obviously something to be proud of, particularly when you contribute to the artwork. However, if you aren’t careful, you could unintentionally reveal some secrets. That’s what happened to Austin Arnett, who just so happened to reveal that there is a compound bow coming to the game.
Arnett was sharing some of his work on Imgur when some eagle-eyed fans noticed that there was something new in the picture. The loot isn’t even the focal point of the image, so you’ll have to look really closely to see it win the context of what Arnett shared. In fact, it’s obvious that he was sharing the lighting work of a holographic map room in the game and just got unlucky that there happened to be a barely visible compound bow off to the side laying on the floor.
The Twitter user @Shrugtal tweeted the photo out just a few days ago leading to rampant speculation as to whether there will be a new ammo type, whether the picture is fake, or if this will be beginning of several other additional weapons. There is no concrete evidence as to what is going to happen with this bow, or even that it is going to be included in the game, but the fact that it came from a known artist is encouraging.
What we do know is that plenty of players would be interested in having a bow as a weapon. As many users on Reddit have been quick to point out, streamers are going to be all over this weapon if and when it is added. We just don’t have any idea when they will do it or what abilities the weapon will have. The possibilities are nearly endless for what you can do with a simple bow. It’ll be interesting to see what they end up giving us when they post the next game update, but it should be a good time regardless.
