The new season for Apex Legends is going to include at least one character-heavy storyline–specifically, a focus on one Anita “Bangalore” Williams. Respawn Entertainment writer Tom Casiello recently teased the upcoming Season 6 quests for Apex Legends, and clued fans in to the character development set to unfold in one of them.
Historically in Apex Legends, Bangalore has been on the sidelines while other characters took the starring role in plot-heavy quests, and recieved little in terms of character development. While some characters, like Wraith and Bloodhound, have gotten cinematic trailers detailing their backstories, and other characters have dominated certain questlines (like Loba and Revenant in the Broken Ghost quests), not much is known about Bangalore aside from her military background and status as a Legend.
All that is about to change, according to Apex Legends writer Tom Casiello, who took to Twitter and responded to a fan question about Bangalore. Fans of Bangalore will be please to know that, according to Casiello, Bangalore’s story is just beginning; the Legend will be given more of a focus in Season 6 of the game as she begins to let her guard down. “Now do you think we’d put our girl front and center, only to just drop her in Season 6? Oh, ye, of little faith…” Casiello wrote on Twitter. “That tough ‘not here to make friends’ facade is just starting to crack. She’s letting her guard down a little. That means her journey’s just getting started!”
While that’s not a ton of information, it should at least be enough to show Bangalore fans that their favorite isn’t going to be left out in the cold forever; instead, her time appears to be coming quite soon in Season 6 of Apex Legends. Perhaps Bangalore’s story could even be related to some of the subtle teasers that have popped up during the Broken Ghost questline–franchise villain Ash was alluded to in Broken Ghost’s rewards, and both Ash and Bangalore used to be part of the IMC, after all.
Casiello didn’t tease much else about Season 6 beyond Bangalore, but that’s all right: Respawn still has some plotlines to wrap up in Season 5 before Season 6 can commence, including the conclusion of Broken Ghost, which should be out this Wednesday, July 15. Either way, it’ll be interesting to see how Respawn and Apex Legends proceeds to explore Bangalore’s past and personality to the fullest in future quests.
Apex Legends is available to play on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
