Bandai Namco has announced that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot’s first DLC pack, titled “A New Power Awakens - Part 1,” will be released on April 28, 2020. After teasing its contents and showing off screenshots, it seems the additional content is finally ready to ascend to its new power level. This content will be available exclusively through Kakarot’s season pass until the second part releases.

Along with that, we got confirmation of some rumored details about the Beerus fight. Still just a boss battle, Beerus will be set at level 250 and is going to be exceptionally difficult to defeat. Hara Ryosukue, the producer for Kakarot, stated, “Beerus is so strong, my clear rate for this battle is 1 out of 10!”

What’s curious is that this DLC update doesn’t provide any additional information on the multiplayer card mode. Announced just a few days back, it seems Bandai Namco is saving that update for a different time. Maybe because it isn’t tied to the season pass, it doesn’t make sense to release it now?

At any rate, it looks like players hoping to power up and blitz the main campaign will have quite the struggle ahead of them. Beerus appears to be no joke, which is a fitting homage to his introduction into Dragon Ball Super.
