When it comes to the Assassin’s Creed franchise, there have been many many assassins that have appeared in the series, many of which have their own stories that have changed the course of history. Recently there have even been playable characters who were not technically Assassins, but they have nonetheless taken the protagonist roles in the game. However, within all the games, many of them have taken the lives of the Templars.

As such, here is every single playable Assassin and how many crucial assassination targets that they have killed. Keep in mind that standard enemies don’t count or anyone that they have left alive. Also, no proto-assassins or Templars are on the list. Readers are warned of spoilers.

16 Layla Hassan - 0 Kills

Layla Hassan is one of the modern-day protagonists. Although she is part of the Assassin’s order she has unfortunately not assassinated anyone. Although Layla did end up killing someone, she didn’t do it on purpose. Not only that but the Templar that she did fight didn’t actually die in the grand scheme of things.

15 Arbaaz Mir - 0 Kills

Arbaaz Mir is an Kashmiri Master Assassin who was a part of the Indian Brotherhood back in the 19th century. Although his appearance is brief, he is shown to be quite capable and is able to stop virtually anyone he is up against. However, his brief appearance also shows that he didn’t actually assassinate anyone, which is very surprising for an Assassin’s Creed game.

14 Nikolai Andreievich Orelov - 2 Kills

Nikolai Orelov is the ancestor for Daniel Cross, one of the best Templars in the order. He was a member of the Russian Brotherhood and he was responsible for the assassination of two key characters in his video game. Khioniya Guseva and Sergei. However, he later grew to be disillusioned with the order and left.

13 Adewale - 2 Kills

Adewale is the protagonist of Assassin’s Creed Freedom Cry and was a part of Edward Kenway’s crew. Serving as the quartermaster, he eventually did his deeds as an Assassin. Killing two specific targets in the form of a Templar admiral and Pierre, Marquis de Fayet. He was eventually killed at the hands of Shay Cormac.

12 Aya - 2 Kills

Aya was the beloved wife of Bayek of Siwa and was also one of the co-founders for the founding of the Hidden Ones. Also known as the Assassin order. Through her time as Amunet, she eventually went on to assassinate two important figures. Actaeon and Ktesos. She also facilitated the eventual suicide of Cleopatra although that was through her own hands.

11 Desmond Miles - 3 Kills

Desmond Miles is the main character of the entire Assassin’s Creed series at least until the third instalment.  Because he is mostly going through the memories of his ancestors, he has only assassinated three people in total.

The first person was by accident in Lucy Stillman. The other two were Daniel Cross within Abstergo and Warren Vidic, the main person who plagued Desmond from the very start.

10 Lydia Frye - 4 Kills

Lydia Frye is the granddaughter of Jacob Frye and was involved during the events of World War 1. Because she only appeared in a DLC, she has killed about four people in total. A nurse, the nurse’s accomplice, magpie and a Master Spy. Outside of that, no one really speaks out.

9 Shao Jun - 5 Kills

Shao Jun was a character that first appeared in Assassin’s Creed Embers, but she has since starred in her own game.

Responsible for killing the Templars responsible for controlling China, she eventually assassinated five key members and slowly brought the brotherhood back to prominence in her country.

8 Ratonhnhaké꞉ton - 11 Kills

Ratonhnhaké꞉ton also known as Connor Kenway is the protagonist of Assassin’s Creed 3. Because it was his only appearance, his number of assassinations aren’t as high as others. Nonetheless, he still killed quite a few and essentially freed America from the British Templars. Killing about eleven prominent Templars. Alternate reality aside anyways.

7 Aveline De Grandpré - 15 Kills

Aveline De Grandpre is the protagonist of Assassin’s Creed Liberation and was involved during the French and Indian War. There she liberated slaves and freed New Orleans from Templar control. During her game, she assassinated roughly fifteen characters total, just four more then in Connor’s game.

6 Edward Kenway - 26 Kills

Edward Kenway is the grandfather of Connor Kenway and was an Assassin that was active during the Golden Age Of Piracy. Although he wasn’t officially an Assassin until much later, he did kill quite a lot of characters, racking up to about 26 people in total, easily dwarfing his grandson in terms of kills.

5 Altaïr Ibn-LaʼAhad - 31 Kills

The original Assassin that was responsible for not only bringing many innovations to the series but also the first protagonist, Altair Ibn-La’Ahad had a lot of kills in his time, easily racking up to over thirty kills by the time of his numerous appearances, whether in games or in the different comics he is involved in.

4 Arno Victor Dorian - 33 Kills

Arno Dorian is the protagonist of Assassin’s Creed Unity, a game that takes place during the French Revolution. Arno Dorian has racked up a lot of assassinations in his own game, killing roughly thirty-three assassination targets by the time of his games, both in the story and in the DLC.

3 Bayek - 38 Kills

Bayek of Siwa is the protagonist of Assassin’s Creed Origins. As the founder of the Hidden Ones which later became the Assassin’s Brotherhood, it is only fair that he has racked up a lot of assassinations in order to stand out. Throughout his time, he has killed roughly thirty-eight people.

2 Jacob Frye And Evie Frye - 53 Kills

This is technically cheating, but considering these two are the main protagonists of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, it’s only fair that these characters’ kills were stacked up together. As a result, they have assassinated many, many characters whether separately or together.

Because of this, they have easily dwarfed roughly everyone else in the franchise. Although when judged separately and their kills done individually, they have killed far less compared to other protagonists amongst the list.

1 Ezio Auditore Da Firenze - 68 Kills

Ezio having the most assassinations out of everyone is probably fairly unsurprising. This is thanks to the number of games that he has been involved in. Not only has he been through three console games, but he has also been in a portable game.

As a result and the fact that the character has been around as an Assassin for decades means that he has racked up the most kills. Going upwards of sixty-eight kills in total, he has definitely gone above and beyond during his time as an Assassin.
