Assassin’s Creed is launching a hidden object book on September 7 titled, Where’s The Assassin? The picture book will be modeled after the popular Where’s Wally? series – known as Where’s Waldo? in North America – and will feature locations popularized by the franchise.
The book is available for preorder on a variety of websites, including Target and Forbidden Planet.
“This gorgeous puzzle book for Assassin’s Creed fans of all ages will delight the eyes, challenge the mind, and help fans to hone their assassin observation skills,” reads its description.
“Do you have the eagle eyes necessary to make it in the enigmatic Brotherhood of Assassins? This classic search and find book will allow gamers to interact with their favorite characters in a new way! With beautiful, intricate, original illustrations spanning over 2000 years of history, search for 13 iconic assassins through the ages and across the world.”
The entire book is 40 pages long, so there’s plenty of space to cram in iconic locations from across the entire franchise. Its cover appears to feature a Valhalla-inspired village, although the publisher is yet to make other pages available. It’s also not clear which assassin you’ll be looking for – or if it will vary by location.
Where’s The Assassin? has no affiliation with the popular Where’s Wally? books, so it’s unlikely we’ll see our favorite assassins donning the iconic red and white striped shirt.
Valhalla has been one of Assassin’s Creed’s most popular titles to date and – as the latest entry in the series – it makes sense that it would be heavily featured in the upcoming book. The title has seen constant updates since launching last year, with the most recent patch introducing transmog gear and various bug fixes.
It hasn’t all been smooth sailing for the title, however, as players reported numerous game-breaking bugs in the weeks following launch. Ubisoft has since fixed many of the bugs plaguing the title and is now focused on churning out new content throughout 2021.
Where’s The Assassin? is now available for pre-order and will hit store shelves on September 7.
