One of the Easter Eggs hidden in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is related to Death Stranding. It can be uncovered by completing the Pending Deliveries side quest, which originates in Ravensthorpe and requires you to make four deliveries for a reward. They must be delivered by hand to their location and it must be done within a certain amount of time.
This quest involves following a set of clues, and the instructions aren’t always clear. You can always check your inventory and reread the note if you need help, or just reference this guide for the exact delivery locations.
Updated April 26th, 2021 by Rebecca O’Neill: The Pending Deliveries side quest in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was recently patched to include a reward, or was it? It seems this complaint has been pushed to the back of the developers’ minds in the wake of the upcoming Wrath of the Druids DLC. It is to take place in Ireland and it is the first expansion that the game will see since its release.
However, this still doesn’t solve the issue with this quest, as many feel the risk isn’t worth the reward for this challenge. If you care about Easter Eggs more than anything, then you should definitely complete the Pending Deliveries side quest in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Read The Note Behind The Trading Post
The quest begins when you read the note on top of the barrel behind Yanli’s Trading Post in Ravensthorpe, and it is a quest that players often attempt after they have beaten the game. It lays out the instructions for you to follow and gives you four items to deliver. Once you collect the note go and talk to Yanli who will ask you to deliver them and offer you a cut of the profits.
The items can be found on the ground beneath the barrel, but the key is never to set them down on your journey, although some are able to place them in their longship. You will also want to be quick about it as it will reset if you take too much time. Just make sure to upgrade your settlement first, as this quest won’t be unlocked until you do.
The items are as follows:
- Stone Slab Jar of Rosewater Mead Crate of Bowls Anvil
Stone Slab Delivery Location
- Clue: To the woman who owns the farm just southeast of Lincolnscire’s southern bridge.
The stone slab is the object in the front left, and the first one on the list for you to deliver. If you locate Lincoln, Lincolnscire, on your map then you are close to this delivery location.
All you need to do is cross the bridge to the south of Lincoln and head slightly east and you will find a woman standing outside. Just place it on the ground and she will start raving about the stone, then she will head on her way.
Jar Of Rosewater Mead Delivery Location
- Clue: To the hermit hut at the feet of the mountain, north of Sabrina’s Spring in Glowecestrescire.
The Jar of Rosewater Mead is the object in the back right that looks like a green vase. It is to be delivered to Glowecestrescire near the border with Sciropescire. If you are having a hard time finding it one tip for beginners is to look for the small gold dot that indicates a normal chest, as it can help you identify this location.
The place is a Hermit’s Hut and the man can be found outside of his doorless home whistling away. He will come over and collect the cask, then head back inside of his home.
Crate Of Bowls Delivery Location
- Clue: To the jewel maker in Ledecestre, between the church and the old Roman bathhouse.
You will need to head to Ledecestre, Ledecestrescire, to complete this delivery, and the Crate of Bowls is the front right object on the blanket. The jewel maker is located just left of the synchronization point at this location, so he is relatively easy to find.
The biggest issue is that this is a restricted area, so you will have to be careful to avoid the guards, as conflict would void this quest. The jeweler is a woman leaning against a wooden beam and placing it on the ground beside her will complete this challenge.
Anvil Delivery Location
- Clue: To the blacksmith in Lunden. His workshop is near the church, close to the west gate.
The final delivery takes place in Lunden, a location with one of the easiest bosses, and the item is the one to the back left on the blanket. You will be looking for the blacksmith who is near Saint Paul’s Cathedral and south of the secret entrance on your map.
He is tucked away in an alley near where there are some people fighting, but he does have an armor set out front that tells you it is his place of work. You will find him hard at work so you just need to place it on the ground to move onto the next leg of the quest.
Return To Yanli
Once all of the objects are delivered you will head back to Ravensthorpe and talk to Yanli once again at the Trading Post. She will thank you for doing such a great job, and the mission itself is the Death Stranding Easter egg.
Sam Porter Bridges was known for delivering packages across great distances, which is exactly why they gave this mission to Eivor to complete. It doesn’t scream Death Stranding, but it is similar enough for fans to make the comparison.
Reward
The developers came out in the patch notes a while ago and said in the newest update they would add a reward for completing the Pending Deliveries side quest. Unfortunately, this seems to be a lie as players are only guaranteed the 40 silver awarded by each customer, but you can still use it to buy a new dagger.
Some say they also receive Nickel Ingots for some of their deliveries as well, but this is very hit or miss. Basically, you should only count on receiving 160 silver and enjoying the Easter Egg the developers slipped into the gameplay.
