One of the composers behind the music of Vikings will be creating the score for Assassins Creed: Valhalla. Einar Selvik will be joining Sarah Schachner and Jesper Kyd on the crack team behind these compositions.

Selvik has worked for years on Vikings, the popular six-season series that follows the quests and conquests of a young Viking man and his hoard, aired from 2013 to 2019. Valhalla will be Selvik’s first foray into video game music, and he’s basically tailor-made for this soundtrack. The announcement was made via the description of the Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla Collector’s Edition on the Ubisoft store website.

Between the three of them, this team clearly has experience with composing for this exact time period and story. Schanchner and Kyd have experience writing music for video games, specifically the Assassins Creed franchise. Between them, Schanchner and Kyd have written for six Assassin’s Creed games: Assassin’s Creed Assassin’s Creed II, Brotherhood, Revelations, Unity, and Origins. As or Einar Selvik, aside from his established musical prowess, he just looks like a Viking so he is completely trustworthy to compose these scores.

Now, not only do gamers get to become a buff blonde with a sweet axe, but they get to do it all to the musical styling of three very specifically seasoned pros.
