No matter what game they’re released for or how much you’ve been looking forward to them, the universal rule of updates is that something always breaks when they’re implemented. In Animal Crossing: New Horizon’s case, several players have discovered a new glitch that has emerged with the game’s free summer update. The 1.3.0 update has brought a wealth of new activities and collectable creatures to New Horizons. However, this packed update has also been accompanied by a particularly annoying glitch: namely, that several players with the Zen Bridge have found themselves running into an “invisible wall” when trying to cross it....

Fall has officially arrived, bringing with it a whole slew of new autumn-themed video game updates. And none are more anticipated than Animal Crossing: New Horizons’s September 30 Fall Update, which will not only introduce new DIY recipes, new clothing items, and new fish and insects but also bring back a much-beloved seasonal NPC and Halloween-themed event. Jack has appeared in every Animal Crossing game but Wild World, which did away with almost every single holiday event....

Day three of E3 2017 will likely go down in history as featuring one of the cutest announcement trailers in history. During the PC Gaming Show on Monday, PC Gamer hosts ushered in a clip of Ooblets, a farming and creature collection title inspired by Animal Crossing, Pokemon, and Harvest Moon. Published by the San Francisco-based company Double Fine Productions, Ooblets will launch for PC and Xbox One next year....

New information regarding Anthem doesn’t come around all that often. Since giving fans their first look at the upcoming title last year at E3, Bioware and EA have kept most of the details under wraps. Luckily, it appears some of the game’s development team are willing to discuss concerns over how the game is progressing, with one team member making it clear that the PC version of the game will be up to scratch....

Apex Legends received a small update today that has added a feature for controller players, allowing them to ditch the button for using survival slot items in favor of inspecting weapons. The feature can be toggled on or off in the “controller” section of the game’s settings. Previously, Apex Legends controller players could hold left on the d-pad on their respective controllers to start an inspection animation for their currently held weapon....

Without anything near the usual pomp and ceremony, Apple launched new M2 Silicon powered versions of its popular MacBook Pro and Mac mini ranges in January 2022, making them available to order immediately. With the Mac mini in particular there was quite a significant change. As well as offering a basic M2-powered version, it launched one with the M2 Pro, offering more power and more versatility in a package that’s smaller and more affordable than the Mac Studio....

The 1.1.2 update for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla dropped just over a week ago, bringing bug fixes, game improvements, and new features to Ubisoft’s action-RPG. One of the biggest additions in the update was the River Raids game mode, which is part of the Yule Season content. This means it’s free for all Assassin’s Creed Valhalla players, and is accessible after downloading 1.1.2. The River Raids update brings an entirely new way for players to loot, pillage, and plunder in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla....

At first glance, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Red Dead Redemption 2 may not strike immediate comparisons, but the two are indeed very similar. Both games are works of historical fiction, with both games having some sci-fi elements (the more present Isu vs. oddities like aliens), both games having a deeply intuitive protagonist, and more. Indeed, they even have a unique level design that fans come across throughout their playthrough: a diversion level....

When anybody copies anything, whether it be yesterday’s homework or a triple-A video game, that person or company is usually slammed for doing so. Unusually, though, that’s not the case for Fortnite, as the game wears almost all of its influences on its sleeve despite still continuing to dominate the market. Now, with Fortnite’s new season making its debut and once again inducing a freakout amongst most of the gaming community, it’s safe to say that Fortnite might go down as one of the most popular games of all time....

Quantic Dream’s latest project expands on nearly everything that made Heavy Rain a jaw-dropping thrill ride and pushes the envelope on what the PS3 is capable of, while keeping it very unique in its own way....

We’re all pretty sure that most normal humans enjoy Pixar, DreamWorks, and Disney films as much as aliens would. So it’s important to continue to support the awkward animation films that teach us about being happy even though we are orphans or simply just alone. So alone. Ever since we saw Toy Story in the weird new 3D version of cartoons, things changed for the world of grown-ups and animation....

It’s hard to believe that a series that was written on a weekly basis by a writer who refused to plan anything in advance would have mistakes, isn’t it? As amazing as Dragon Ball Z is, you have to admit that it isn’t perfectly told. Now, credit where credit is due, Akira Toriyama did an incredible job writing as his own pace. All the character arcs feel fully realized, there are a surprising amount of literary themes and devices at play, and each saga transitions into one another rather seamlessly for a series with no planning....

Get out your fireworks and your streamers because a new Fallout game is on the way… or what we really should say is get out your Daedric Swords and your Fat Mans, because it’s time to put Fallout and The Elder Scrolls against each other. These two RPG titans have not only dominated their respective genres, but they’ve dominated gaming as a whole creating a new culture revolved around these two Bethesda games....

More than a few skeptics were silenced when 343 Industries showed off a portion of Halo 4 at last week’s E3 2012 Microsoft press conference. Even so, there are sure to be a few who think that they’ve got a better idea of where to take the Halo series. Things have been quiet at Kojima Productions since the release of Death Stranding for PS4 and the subsequent launch by 505 games that brought the title to PC. This has some fans wondering if Kojima Productions is working on a Death Stranding sequel, either picking up directly after the ending of the original, or exploring the stories of other characters during the same time. If this is the case and Kojima Productions is looking at continuing Death Stranding into a series, then there are a few critiques and requests that the sequel may need to address....
