Michael Gamble, the lead producer for Anthem, recently shed some light on both the game and the upcoming demos on Twitter, including what can be carried from the demo and into the release version of the game. Unfortunately, Gamble made it clear that Anthem players won’t be able to carry their progress from one version to the next. Gamble explained the reason the developers have decided they are not going to be allowing any progress transferred over because the demo will start players off at level 10....

While EA briefly discussed a number of games at its E3 2018 press conference, it offered a deep dive on Anthem, arguably the biggest upcoming title from the publisher. Anthem was shown off with a brand new cinematic trailer and some gameplay footage, along with a tease about what its post-launch support will entail. EA brought Anthem lead writer Cathleen Rootsaert on stage at E3 to discuss Anthem’s story, and she revealed that the game is being built so that BioWare can potentially add new story content for “years to come....

Apex Legends Holo-Day Bash event is underway and adds new cosmetics, in-game holiday decorations, and the limited-time mode Winter Express. The Holo-Day Bash first took place last year, and it seems some fans believe there were not enough changes this year. One fan went as far as saying the Winter Express LTM is a “recycled mode” on Reddit, which prompted a detailed reply from Respawn Developer Daniel Klein. Klein cites a few changes to the Winter Express mode including the addition of supply ships, new stations, individual loadouts, and some technical changes to reduce downtime between rounds....

One of the ways the free-to-play battle royale game Apex Legends has been able to stand out when compared to other battle royale games on the market is thanks to it use of hero-shooter elements, drawing some parallels to Blizzard’s Overwatch. Respawn apparently anticipated these comparisons, as it has included a nod to Overwatch in Apex Legends. If players go to Pathfinder’s customization options (Pathfinder is the robot, for those who have yet to learn everyone’s name), and then head to the Pose section under Banners, they can find a Pose called For the Birds....

Season 6 of Apex Legends brought about major changes to the game. Aside from the addition of Rampart and the massive overhaul of the World’s Edge map, the way armor functioned was retooled significantly. Now all armor that isn’t gold is automatically Evo Armor and its value is reduced by 25 HP. It’s a decision that’s been viewed as too drastic by numerous Apex players. Many felt that by lowering the health of armor while also putting powerful guns like the Devotion, Volt, and Triple Take with the Precision Choke attachment out in the world made TTK (time to kill) far too short....

Apex Legends is about to make a ton of fans extremely happy. Respawn Entertainment recently announced that both “Duos mode” and “Kings Canyon” will be making a permanent return to the popular battle royale shooter. Both will coincide with a new event, titled “The Old Ways,” that launches on April 7, 2020. This event focuses on character Bloodhound and delves into his past a bit. A new 10-minute trailer provides the basis for what this limited-time mode will be....

The long running Mortal Kombat series has spawned plenty of fan creations over the years thanks in large part to its iconic characters and huge roster of fighters. It’s especially true lately as the recently released Mortal Kombat 11 managed to bring back a number of fan favorite characters like Shang Tsung and Noob Saibot, while also introducing new ones that include Geras, Kollector, and Kronika. Posting to his Instagram account over the last few weeks, Concept Artist and Creature Designer Jerad S.Marantz has unveiled a number of interesting models for a mysterious, now-canceled DC game. Back in late August, he showcased a terrifying rendition of King Shark meant for the fallen-through project, while more recently he showed off an older, grizzled Batman in a more futuristic interpretation of the Bat-suit. Alongside these two renditions, S.Marantz unveiled a third design, with a take on Bizzaro hitting the designer’s Instagram page....
