E3 2018 is officially over, but many are still looking into the biggest games that were showcased at the event. For horror fans, there were a number of potentially great games shown at E3, ranging from atmospheric, story-driven experiences to high octane zombie action games. Raymond, a bookish cat villager with a snarky attitude and a great sense of fashion, is all the rage. Players are shelling out upwards of 500 Nook Miles tickets to take Raymond off of sellers’ hands. It certainly isn’t surprising that Raymond is one of the most sought after villagers. Over the weekend, rumors began circulating that suggested that a new, free-to-play battle royale game, set in the Titanfall universe, would be releasing imminently. Respawn Entertainment has now substantiated portions of these claims, indicating that the game, titled Apex Legends, will be formally revealed through a live stream scheduled for February 4. Taking to Twitter, Respawn CEO Vince Zampella confirmed that Monday’s stream will begin at 8am PT on Twitch, and it will not be light on details....
Apex Legends Season 8 has launched for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox players, but another console will soon be able to join the battle royale combat. Since launching cross-play for Apex Legends on October 6 last year, Nintendo Switch players have been waiting to be able to play Apex Legends. The Switch version for Apex Legends was announced during the EA Play Live event along with the announcement of cross-play. Respawn Entertainment intended for the Switch version to release around the same time as cross-play, but was delayed until now....
Since taking center stage back in April with the release of ‘The Knife of Dunwall’ DLC, fans of Dishonored’s conflicted cutthroat Daud have been eagerly anticipating the assassin’s ultimate fate - a fate that gamers may yet help to shape when “The Brigmore Witches” pack arrives this August. Announced earlier this month, Dishonored’s final content pack will include a bevy of fresh weapons, characters and powers, as well as an entirely new ward section to explore....
Artifact is an anomaly of a video game. The digital deckbuilder/CCG is proof Valve is not infallible. Even the legendary studio behind Half-Life, Portal, Team Fortress, Counter-Strike, and other very successful and popular games can make mistakes. That’s why Valve announced this past week that Artifact was ceasing development and its 2.0 reboot would not be unfinished. The winners for the 16th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards are in, with top honors going to a game we never expected would be a Game of the Year contender a year ago. With high profile titles like Mass Effect 3, Halo 4, and Assassin’s Creed 3 packed into one stellar year it seemed like the triple-A was going to rule the roost, however that was not the case.
