Not long after Apex Legends launched and became a worldwide success, Respawn started teasing fans about how it would be supporting the game in future updates. The first major update for Apex Legends is expected to come this month as part of its first season of content, and it will be headlined by a Fortnite-style battle pass. Unfortunately, Respawn has kept quiet about what the battle pass will entail or when it will be available, but now a source “close to the situation” has leaked its release date to Daily eSports....

The world of Apex Legends feels authentic and natural. Each character has a richly woven backstory that’s interesting but has an aura of mystery to it. Respawn also use themed events to emphasize the traits of their new legends. Many other games are fun and entertaining, but the lore feels convoluted and/or sometimes too obvious. They sometimes fail at worldbuilding because they don’t have a long term plan and vision. This results in messy timelines and story changes....

Apex Legends match sizes won’t be increasing “any time soon,” says Jason McCord, the game’s design director. Calls to increase lobby sizes, which now stand at 60 players per match, have been getting louder since the game was confirmed to be coming to more platforms. Global Mobilization - Cold War Germany Update 1.2 has been added to the sandbox military tactical shooter Arma 3.
