Video game studio 6502 Workshop recently announced the full release of Nox Archaist, a 1980s-era traditionally-styled RPG inspired by such classic fantasy games as Ultima, Bards Tale, and Wizardry. But unlike all the other video games in today’s market, Nox Archaist has a fantastic unique trait setting it apart: it was programmed on an Apple II series computer, and designed to run on it as well as for 21st century PC and Mac computer systems....

Despite its best efforts to patch up any holes, Nintendo has seemingly left another duplication glitch in its popular life simulator Animal Crossing: New Horizons. As reported by Siliconera, fans have discovered a new glitch that lets them create copies of different items that they can then sell to generate infinite amounts of bells. Unlike last time, this glitch is limited to 2x1 and 2x2 tables and items. You won’t be able to simply drop a bag of bells on there and get to duping....

Over the last year, rumors have run rampant that Sony is secretly working on a Bloodborne remaster for both PC and PS5. Said to be in development by QLoc and Bluepoint Games, none of the supposed companies involved have confirmed any of the leaked details. While reviews have not been stellar so far, BioWare continues to plug away and improve its latest game, Anthem. Featuring third-person action with four different classes known as Javelins, players will be finding all sorts of new weapons and gear to further strengthen their character. Anthem gives players many different ways to collect ember, from dismantling gear, harvesting materials during free play, and even by completing Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Challenges....

With only a few weeks left until the launch of Anthem, developer BioWare is hard at work putting the finishing touches on its loot-based shooter. Respawn’s hit title Apex Legends seems a breath of fresh air for many users, but the game isn’t without its faults. That looks to be the case for Apex Legends, as its “Holo-Day” event is headed to the battle royale. Last year, Respawn Entertainment threw a Holo-Day bash within Apex Legends, which featured a Christmas train mode, new skins and content, and other holiday-themed goodness. This year, thanks to a leak posted on Twitter, it looks like the event will be returning....

Another game that has been revealed at The Game Awards is a pirate game created by Ark: Survival Evolved developer called Atlas. This finale was a great example of how to let character work, necessary plot development, and great fights sit alongside one another and even become interwoven, like with the excellent final showdown between Oliver and Diaz in the rain, which capitalized on Diaz’s physicality in his fight style and the emotional satisfaction of Oliver landing some serious punches in a well-matched fight....

A book that contains a collection of writings by former Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata is being translated into English and released by VIZ Media, with an expected release date of Spring 2021. The original Japanese version of Iwata-san is a book by Yasuda Nagata that combines numerous articles written by Iwata for both the Hobonichi and Nintendo website. The book also contains all of the “Iwata-asks” interviews, where he spoke to different developers about their classic projects and most recent releases....

Ubisoft is well known for constantly producing high-quality games across a variety of franchises. Fans can reasonably expect new releases in the Far Cry, Assassin’s Creed, and other series every year or two at Ubisoft’s current pacing. Ubisoft reveals in its latest earnings report that Assassin’s Creed Syndicate failed to beat the sales of Assassin’s Creed Unity in its first week, but the title rebounded in its second week. Details over Assassin’s Creed Syndicate’s launch performance have been released by Ubisoft during its latest earning report. While specific sales numbers were not revealed, Ubisoft did confirm that first week sales were down compared to last year’s title, Assassin’s Creed Unity....
