It’s starting to look like the gaming world is about to undergo some very dramatic changes. We’ve already heard from Google about the new Google Strada, a game streaming device that could completely change how consumers purchase their gaming software and hardware. Now we have another massive tech company giant dipping its toe into the industry. Apple has changed the way the world uses their phones, and now it looks like it wants to change the way the world plays their games....

Apple is getting ready to release new Macs powered by the first M3 chips later in 2023, according to a new report. The new M3 chips will be “better-performing” upgrades to the existing M2 chips, according to the report. The same report calls those M2 chips a “stopgap” offering while Apple readies its upgraded chips. Those upgraded chips, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports, will be built on a new 3nm manufacturing process - likely that of Apple’s long-time chipmaker TSMC....

Destiny 2 and Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 dominate the live-service looter-shooter market. They both take place in a shared world, they both have RPG elements where players can tailor their character with select abilities and builds, they both allow a party of up to four to engage in co-op missions, and they both have a wonderful loot system. They also both start with a ‘D’ and end with a ‘2....

As with any Destiny 2 expansion, a new selection of weapons is added to the loot pool. While a few old, powerful favorites are sure to stick around, a new DLC gives an opportunity to discover new favorites and a fresh meta to form in PvE and PvP. Forsaken is no different, and the expansion actually brought with it a few weapons that are definitely worth chasing. The addition of random rolls can make some of these weapons the best that have ever come to the game....

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity received a demo last month, ahead of its release on November 20. It gives you a lengthy look at the story, world, and gameplay of Nintendo’s upcoming musou title – but also proves that we really need a Nintendo Switch Pro. During my time with the demo, I was shocked at the horribly inconsistent frame rate. Nintendo said Age of Calamity is targeting 30fps, but that number definitely isn’t a constant during gameplay....
