There’s no time better for fishing in Animal Crossing: New Horizons than the summer. New critters may become available every month, but the start of summer sees some of the most elusive and lucrative fish begin populating the waters. This is the time when you’ll finally be able to nab a shark and be the talk of your island. So much for not going in the water. Anthem’s first post-launch Freeplay event, There Be Giants, is now live. The event tasks Freelancers to hunt down four notorious named Titan enemies in Freeplay, each with their own static spawn points on the map. After hunting these Titans down one by one, Freelancers are then rewarded with what will be Anthem’s first earned endgame cosmetic, the Foundation vinyl. The There Be Giants event ends late Sunday, so time is limited....

There’s no doubt that Anthem has had a rocky launch period, with many of the action-RPG’s woes having led to it being one of the worst-reviewed BioWare games in the developer’s history. The title has been plagued with plenty of problems since release, but one issue is arguably more serious than others, as it involves a bug that leads to complete system crashes on PS4. According to multiple reports from Anthem players in various threads on the game’s official subreddit, after attempting to close out the application via the PS4’s menu, the console then totally shuts down as if the plug had been pulled from an outlet....

Without a doubt, a bevy of gamers considered Anthem to be one of E3 2018’s most highly anticipated games, as players had been excited to finally learn some more about the forthcoming action-RPG from BioWare. Thankfully, the studio has now given folks an additional bit of insight into what can be expected from title by releasing a brand new story trailer during Electronic Arts’ EA Play 2018 presser. Apex Legends had a rough day yesterday. Apex Legends accounts were reset to level 1, and the game’s servers were taken down so Respawn could fix the issue. However, it seems as though the temporary account reset may have been intentional, and it was possibly done to address a leak for an upcoming weapon. The L-STAR from Titanfall 2 is apparently making its way to Apex Legends at some point in the future....

Without a traditional E3 format this year, EA Play has fully gone digital, a change of pace for the company who typically invites all sorts of fans to experience the games first hand. This year, the popular battle royale title Apex Legends from Respawn Entertainment kicked off the show with a ton of announcements. Even though Season 5 and Loba are still fairly new to the game, there’s a lot of new content on the horizon....

Season 8 of Apex Legends has arrived, bringing with it a new character, a refreshed Kings Canyon, and a new gun. But where’s the rumored Switch port? That we don’t have an answer to, but we do have a lovely Apex Legends Switch controller that sort of hints at an impending release. This week’s Apple Arcade exclusive is Tower’s Of Everland, a first-person RPG dungeon crawler with crafting, magic, and lots of combat. The game was created by Cobra Mobile, a Scottish-based studio known for a number of different mobile games like the iBomber series. Towers Of Everland is the first game the company has developed for the Apple Arcade subscription service. According to the Apple store page for the RPG, players are tasked with exploring the various towers of Everland and fighting the various foes within those tall buildings....

Apple announced the iPhone SE on 8 March 2022, marking the third generation of the device. The 2022 iPhone SE succeeds the iPhone SE from 2020 and introduces 5G, but retains the same familiar design we’ve seen since 2017. How else does the iPhone SE (3rd generation) compare to the iPhone SE (2nd generation) though, and which should you choose if you’re looking to upgrade an older device, like an iPhone 6 or iPhone 7?...

Today, Apple revealed its new second generation iPhone SE to the world. It features an A13 Bionic chip, a Touch ID, a 4.7-inch Retina HD display, and a 2-megapixel f/1.8 aperture Wide camera will the bell and whistles. Apple confirms that it is simply called the iPhone SE. It will run on Apple’s iOS 13 and be compatible with many of the typical features such as Apple News, iCloud, and Apple’s Lightning connector....

Ash Ketchum has added a new member to his team in the Pokémon anime, as he has caught a Galarian Farfetch’d in the latest episode of the show. Farfetch’d was considered one of the weakest Pokémon in the Kanto region for a long time, especially compared to other standout Flying/Normal-type Pokémon in Pokémon Red & Blue. The line received a major boost in Pokémon Sword & Shield, when a Galarian form of Farfetch’d was introduced....

With the release of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Ubisoft has thrown players into another -RPG-like game set in Norway and England in the ninth-century A.D. Along with a new character in Eivor to play as, the game also introduces a variety of NPCs to get to know better. They can be loathsome, relatable, or downright hilarious. These NPCs, be it encountered regularly or during an event or side quest, help to bring out some good comic relief in Eivor’s journey of building a home in England....

After the death of Warren Vidic and Daniel Cross, Otso Berg became the face of the Templars. He went from a higher-ranking Templar to the Black Cross, a face and faction mysteriously absent in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Despite the fact that Otso Berg has Viking ancestors, making it seem an obvious connection, his last appearance is in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. This moment is a bit odd. It’s left open to interpretation, it isn’t followed up in the main story of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and the Templar themselves have no role in the modern-day story since....

Everybody has their own tastes on who the best Disney villain is. Some prefer the diabolical and tyrannical brand of evil like Scar and Jafar while others prefer the goofiness of a Hades or if you’re really a weirdo, the lusting eyes of Judge Frollo. There is no denying though that some Disney villains are so iconic that they even upstage the heroes of the very films they starred in. Heck, it was so obvious in the case of Sleeping Beauty that they made an entire movie with Maleficent as the protagonist instead of Aurora....

The Word was a magazine-style entertainment show that ran from 1990 to 1995 on the UK’s Channel 4. It was helmed by Mancunian motormouth Terry Christian and a medley of once and future stars, including Amanda de Cadenet, Dani Behr, Katie Puckrik, and Mark Lamarr.
