Voice actors forming studios is a rare occurrence in the video game industry. Yet for Assassin’s Creed: Origins star Abubakar Salim it’s a dream become reality. The voice actor for Bayek is now a co-founder for the new studio Silver Rain Games, where he’ll serve as creative director. Salim is perhaps best known for his work as Bayek in Assassin’s Creed: Origins, but his work expands beyond that. He’s also the voice of Rokhan the troll, a leading character in World of Warcraft’s Battle for Azeroth expansion....

After taking a year off, Ubisoft is getting ready to launch it’s latest game into the immensely popular Assassin’s Creed franchise. In a few weeks, players will get to live out their Viking fantasies in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which takes place in 873 AD as Norwegian Vikings traveled and attempted to settle Anglo-Saxon England. With the fanbase more than ready to step into the shoes of Eivor, Ubisoft is using that excitement as a springboard for even more Assassin’s Creed news....

It’s quite a change in the series for the protagonist to be playing kingmaker instead of taking down kings, but that’s precisely what Eivor does in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Historically, the Viking invasion is doomed to fail, so maybe it should come as no surprise that the cover character doesn’t ever ally with the assassins and claim victory. Still, this does present players with a great deal of choice. You can’t defeat the tyrants, but you can choose your favorite flavor of tyrant in Snotinghamscire....

In 2017, Studio Wildcard released their ‘Naked and Afraid’ simulator called Ark: Survival Evolved. In this survival action-adventure game with single-player and multiplayer modes, players can catch, tame, and make use of dinosaurs and other primeval creatures in order to survive in a world that is trying to kill them. It is the reason why there are so many tips and tricks for beginners in 2021. But it’s not all fun and dodos....

Apex Legends is a smash hit and there is no doubt about that. The game is fast paced, offering a more visceral experience than most battle royale games while retaining some of the fun aspects of the ones that came before this title. All-in-all, Respawn Entertainment has done a good job with all of the work that their team put into this awesome game and they deserve all the credit for making the game such an outstanding hit....

It is now the greatest time to be alive if you are a fan of comic books and movies. We currently have the two titans of comic books, Marvel and DC duking it out at the box office for who has the biggest cinematic universe. We have huge tent pole movies every few months, and despite a few missteps, the movies are generally considered pretty good. Over the decades, Nintendo has been a video gaming giant when it comes to creating memorable games and characters. They have been responsible for gaming franchises like Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Pokémon, Metroid and Super Smash Bros. Even among those examples, that is just the tip of the iceberg. They have been providing plenty of characters with memorable moments, and they still do to this day. Of course, with so many generally happy memories, there are moments in Nintendo’s games that can just come off as silly, nonsensical, and it can be pretty funny at times....

Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII is one of the most notorious villains in Final Fantasy history. He’s strong, looks intimidating, and sounds scary when he talks. He’s just as famous as his rival in the game, Cloud Strife. He appeared as a hidden boss in Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 2. He’s lethal with his famous sword, the Masamune. He’s able to teleport, do powerful and quick slashes with his sword effortlessly, and has some psychic abilities....

The fighting game genre is fairly hard to get into by casual players. Unlike most games, players need to be calm and have good timing to do well. Thanks to Injustice and the later entries of Mortal Kombat, the net is getting wider. It smashes the door open for new players. Both games have a legacy behind them, Mortal Kombat is one of the first mainstream fighting games, for Injustice it’s the superhero story arcs that are significant on their own....

The Sims 4 team have just announced the latest expansion for the game, Island Living. Due to come out later this month for PC and mid-July for consoles, the details given show that a few of its features will be game-changing. While expansions always add a large amount of content, the level at which they change the core game varies. Some, like Seasons, have a huge impact on the entire world, while others, like Get To Work, only affect your game if you choose to play their content—in this case, shops or interactive careers....

During The Game Awards tonight, Activision rolled back the curtain on the first season of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The (quite literally) explosive trailer showed off what players can expect from the upcoming season. Exciting new maps, such as the decidedly retro Mall, look like fun additions the already-stellar package, and a whole arsenal of new guns will add some much-needed variety to the overall selection. It’ll be fun to see how these additions shake up the game, and to watch a new meta emerge from those....

Unlike Yunobo, Teba, and Sidon, who all play like slight variations of their predecessors, Riju is entirely unique and doesn’t play like any other character in either Age of Calamity or the original Hyrule Warriors....

Under-fire streamer Alinity has apologized for throwing her cat. The Canadian Twitch broadcaster, named Natalia Mogollon, has been the subject of rife criticism after throwing one of her cats over her chair out of frustration during an Apex Legends session. Since then, a clip of the ill-advised toss has gone viral and viewers have called for her to be banned from Twitch. Additionally, Natalia has been taken to task by animal rights charity PETA and the local Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA)....
